Abstract

We agree with the correction made by Yuan and Hu (Comment on 'Single-mode excited entangled coherent states') on entanglement analysis of single-mode excited entangled coherent states proposed in our previous paper (Xu and Kuang (2006) J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 39 L191 ). We re-examine the numerical computation of the concurrence in our paper.

Comment on ‘Single-mode excited entangled coherent states’

Hong-chun Yuan, Li-yun Hu

In (Xu and Kuang 2006 J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 39 L191 ), the authors claim that, for single-mode excited entangled coherent states |Ψ ± (α, m )⟩, 'the photon excitations lead to the decrease of the concurrence in the strong field regime of |α| 2 and the concurrence tends to zero when |α| 2 → ∞ '. This is wrong.

Reply to “Comment on ‘Single-particle entanglement’ ”

S. J. van Enk

I try to rebut Drezet's arguments [Phys. Rev. A. 74, 026301 (2006)]) against the state $\ensuremath{\mid}0⟩\ensuremath{\mid}1⟩+\ensuremath{\mid}1⟩\ensuremath{\mid}0⟩$ being entangled by agreeing with them. I also address some old arguments repeated by Drezet.

Reply to “Comment on ‘Entanglement and chaos in the kicked top' ”

M. Lombardi, A. Matzkin

We reply to the preceding Comment that attempts to clarify the connection between chaos and entanglement exposed in our previous paper [Phys. Rev. E 83, 016207 (2011)PRESCM1539-375510.1103/PhysRevE.83.016207]. We present additional computations that show the argument exposed in the Comment to explain the entangling power of some regular states is not important in the present case. More fundamentally we argue that the example chosen in the Comment is not the most significant in order to understand why specific regular dynamics can entangle as efficiently as when the corresponding classical dynamics is chaotic.

Reply to comments on ‘A three-level atom interacting with a single mode cavity field: different configurations’ and ‘The general formalism for a three-level atom interacting with a two-mode cavity field’

N. H. Abdel-Wahab

In this reply, I respond to the criticisms of my two papers (2007 Phys. Scr. 76 244–8 and 2007 Phys. Scr. 76 233–7) made by Hassan (2012 Phys. Scr. 85 027001). In particular, there is a correction to equation (7) in the first paper, while the second paper has no error.

Comment on “Quasi-coherent states for the Hermite oscillator” [J. Math. Phys. 59, 062104 (2018)]

Kevin Zelaya, Oscar Rosas-Ortiz

The paper of Ünal [J. Math. Phys. 59, 062104 (2018)], though worthy of attention, contains a conclusion that is in error and may mislead the efforts to extend his results. The aim of the present note is twofold: we provide a correction to such a conclusion and then we emphasize some missing points that are necessary to clarify the content of the paper.

Reply to “Comment on ‘Coherent-state path integrals in the continuum’”

G. Kordas, S. I. Mistakidis, A. I. Karanikas

In this Reply we briefly clarify the main points of our method to construct coherent-state path integrals in the continuum and we reply to the critique raised by in the preceding Comment by Kochetov [Phys. Rev. A 99, 026101 (2019)]. By using definite examples, we prove that our approach is capable of resolving the inconsistencies accompanying the standard coherent-state path-integral representation of interacting systems.
