A quantifier of genuine multipartite quantum correlations and its dynamics

Abstract

By using measurement-induced disturbance (S Luo 2008 Phys. Rev. A 77 022301 ), we propose a quantifier for genuine multipartite quantum correlations. The connection between this quantum correlations measure and the quantum advantage in multiport dense coding for pure three-qubit states is established. It is also used to investigate the dynamics of quantum correlations in a four-partite system. The phenomena of generation of quantum correlations and holding of quantum correlations in some time windows are found. As a byproduct, the monogamy score based on measurement-induced disturbance is related to the generalized geometric measure for pure three-qubit states.

Using measurement induced disturbance to characterize correlations of multipartite non-k-classical states

Yinzhu Wang, Fangyu Zhou, Lili Yang +2 more

In [S. L. Luo, Using measurement induced disturbance to characterize correlations as classical or quantum, Phys. Rev. A77 (2008) 022301], the author presented a statistical correlation measure for bipartite quantum states using measurement induced disturbance. In this paper, motivated by this correlation measure, we obtain some necessary conditions for [Formula: see text]-classical states in multipartite quantum systems, and obtain a relation between the set of [Formula: see text]-classical states and the set of [Formula: see text]-product states; Secondly, we introduce a class of correlation measures based on trace distance using measurement induced disturbance in order to quantify the strength of correlation for non-[Formula: see text]-classical states; Lastly, we introduce the concept of quantum channel with respect to [Formula: see text]-partition, it is simply denoted by identical-[Formula: see text]-channel, and furthermore discuss the influences of the correlation measure under identical-[Formula: see text]-channel.

Genuine multipartite system-environment correlations in decoherent dynamics

Jonas Maziero, Fábio M. Zimmer

We propose relative entropy-based quantifiers for genuine multipartite total, quantum, and classical correlations. These correlation measures are applied to investigate the generation of genuine multiparticle correlations in decoherent dynamics induced by the interaction of two qubits with local-independent environments. We consider amplitude- and phase-damping channels and compare their capabilities to spread information through the creation of many-body correlations. We identify changes in behavior for the genuine four- and three-partite total correlations and show that, contrary to amplitude environments, phase-noise channels transform the bipartite correlation initially shared between the qubits into genuine multiparticle system-environment correlations.

Exploring multipartite quantum correlations with the square of quantum discord

Yan-Kui Bai, Na Zhang, Ming-Yong Ye +1 more

We explore the quantum correlation distribution in multipartite quantum states based on the square of quantum discord (SQD). For tripartite quantum systems, we derive the necessary and sufficient condition for the SQD to satisfy the monogamy relation. Particularly, we prove that the SQD is monogamous for three-qubit pure states, based on which a genuine tripartite quantum correlation measure is introduced. In addition, we also address the quantum correlation distributions in four-qubit pure states. As an example, we investigate multipartite quantum correlations in the dynamical evolution of multipartite cavity-reservoir systems.

Genuine multipartite entanglement measure

Yu Jing Guo, Yanping Jia, Xinping Li +1 more

Abstract Quantifying genuine entanglement is a crucial task in quantum information theory. In this work, we give an approach of constituting genuine m -partite entanglement measures from any bipartite entanglement and any k -partite entanglement measure, 3 ⩽ k < m . In addition, as a complement to the three-qubit concurrence triangle proposed in ( Phys. Rev. Lett. 127 040403), we show that the triangle relation is also valid for any continuous entanglement measure and system with any dimension. We also discuss the tetrahedron structure for the four-partite system via the triangle relation associated with tripartite and bipartite entanglement respectively. For multipartite system that contains more than four parties, there is no symmetric geometric structure as that of tri- and four-partite cases.

Maximally-dense-coding-capable quantum states

Rabindra Nepal, R. Prabhu, Aditi Sen +1 more

A complementarity relation is established between the capacity of multiport classical information transmission via quantum states and multiparty quantum correlation measures for three-qubit pure states. The multiparty quantum correlation measures considered are the generalized geometric measure, the tangle, and the discord monogamy score. The complementarity relation is revealed by the identification of a one-parameter family of pure three-qubit states, which we call the maximally-dense-coding-capable quantum states. These states have the maximal multiport dense coding capacity among all three-qubit pure states with an arbitrary fixed amount of the multiparty quantum correlations.

Genuine Quantum and Classical Correlations in Multipartite Systems

Gian Luca Giorgi, Bruno Bellomo, Fernando Galve +1 more

Generalizing the quantifiers used to classify correlations in bipartite systems, we define genuine total, quantum, and classical correlations in multipartite systems. The measure we give is based on the use of relative entropy to quantify the distance between two density matrices. Moreover, we show that, for pure states of three qubits, both quantum and classical bipartite correlations obey a ladder ordering law fixed by two-body mutual informations, or, equivalently, by one-qubit entropies.
