Entanglement sharing in the Tavis-Cummings model

Abstract

Individual members of an ensemble of identical systems coupled to a common probe can become entangled with one another, even when they do not interact directly. We investigate how this type of multipartite entanglement is generated in the context of a system consisting of an ensemble of N two-level atoms resonantly coupled to a single mode of the electromagnetic field. In the case where N = 2, the dynamical evolution is studied in terms of the entanglements in the different bipartite divisions of the system, as quantified by the I-tangle. We also propose a generalization of the so-called residual tangle that quantifies the inherent three-body correlations in this tripartite system. This allows us to give a complete characterization of the phenomenon of entanglement sharing in the case of the two-atom Tavis-Cummings model. We also introduce an entanglement monotone which constitutes a lower bound on the I-tangle of an arbitrary bipartite system. This measure is seen to be useful in quantifying the entanglement in various bipartite partitions of the TCM in the case where N> 2, i.e., when there is no known analytic form for the I-tangle. Keywords: Entanglement, Entanglement-Sharing, Tavis-Cummings Model 1.

Multipartite entanglement dynamics and transfer in double and triple Tavis–Cummings models

Kwang-Il Kim, Myong Chol Pak, Jang Su Kim +3 more

Abstract In this paper, we investigate the dynamics and transfer of multipartite entanglement via concurrence and three-tangle in a double and a triple Tavis–Cummings model (TCM). The results are compared with those of the double and triple Jaynes–Cummings model (JCM). We find that the dynamics and transfer of multipartite entanglement are dependent only on the initial entanglement type itself and not on model type for the double and triple TCM. For the triple TCM and the triple JCM we find that entanglement of a different type from the initial entanglement is created. Our work will further enrich the previous results for the JCM and the TCM.

Influence of Coupling Coefficients on Three-body Entanglement Measure in Tavis-Cummings Model

Duo Zhang

The quantum entanglement of the Tavis-Cummings model for two identical two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode field is considered. When the field is one photon and the two atoms stay in ground states initially,it is abtained that the system will evolve to a three-body approximate state. The result shows that every entanglement measure of the system will be reduced when atomic coupling coefficient is larger than coupling coefficient between field and atom, and the entanglement measure of atoms and the entanglement measure between two atoms with field will be reduced more quickly.Meanwhile, every entanglement measure periodic will be also shortened relevantly.

The evolution property of three-body entanglement measure in Tavis-Cummings mode l

Zuo Zhan-Chun, Yun‐Jie Xia, 曲阜师范大学物理系,曲阜 273165

This paper studies the quantum entanglement of the Tavis-Cummings model for two steady identical two-level atoms interac-ting with a single-mode field. Whe n the field is vacuum and the two atoms stay in Einstein-Podolsky-Rosem entangle d state or disentangled state initially, we obtain that the system will evol ve to a three-body approximate W entangled state. The entanglement measure will change with the variation of system initial state, coupling coefficients, detuni ng degree and atomic population inversion. It should be noted that the atomic co upling coefficient exhibits the nonlinear effect and the entanglement measure os cillates periodically in accordance with atomic population inversion.

ENTANGLEMENT DYNAMICS IN THE THREE-ATOM TAVIS-CUMMINGS MODEL

Jian-Song Zhang, Aixi Chen

We investigate the entanglement dynamics in a quantum system consisting of three two-level atoms resonantly coupled to a single mode electromagnetic field in a cavity. An explicit analytical solution of the system is obtained and the entanglement of the system is studied with the help of the concurrence and tangle. It is also shown that the W states could be generated if the interaction time of the two-level atoms and the cavity field is chosen appropriately.

Entanglement dynamics for the double Tavis-Cummings model

Dao Tan, Ba Dinh

A double Tavis-Cummings model (DTCM) is developed to simulate the entanglement dynamics of realistic quantum information processing where two entangled atom-pairs AB and CD are distributed in such a way that atoms AC are embedded in a cavity a while BD are located in another remote cavity b .T he evolutions of different types of initially shared entanglement of atoms are studied under various initial states of cavity fields. The results obtained in the DTCM are compared with that obtained in the double Jaynes- Cummings model (DJCM) (M. Yonac, T. Yu, J.H. Eberly, J. Phys. B40, S45 (2007)) and an interaction strength theory is proposed to explain the parameter domain in which the so-called entanglement sudden death occurs for both the DTCM and DJCM.
