Abstract

A double Tavis-Cummings model (DTCM) is developed to simulate the entanglement dynamics of realistic quantum information processing where two entangled atom-pairs AB and CD are distributed in such a way that atoms AC are embedded in a cavity a while BD are located in another remote cavity b .T he evolutions of different types of initially shared entanglement of atoms are studied under various initial states of cavity fields. The results obtained in the DTCM are compared with that obtained in the double Jaynes- Cummings model (DJCM) (M. Yonac, T. Yu, J.H. Eberly, J. Phys. B40, S45 (2007)) and an interaction strength theory is proposed to explain the parameter domain in which the so-called entanglement sudden death occurs for both the DTCM and DJCM.

Entanglement evolution and transfer in a double Tavis-Cumming model in cavity QED

Qingjun Xu, Shiying Zhang

We have studied entanglement evolution and transfer in a double Tavis-Cumming model where two pairs of entangled two-level atoms AB and CD interact with two single-mode cavity fields a and b. We show that the Bell-like initial state of atoms AB can exhibit entanglement sudden death which should be independent of the initial entanglement of atoms CD. Also, we show that the initial entanglement of one atomic pair can be transferred into another pair, as well as the possible subsystems, that become entangled during evolution.

双模腔场中的纠缠猝死现象

Feng Han, Yun‐Jie Xia

The entanglement dynamics involving the so-called entanglement sudden death of atoms in two-photon Tavis-Cummings model is investigated.Various initial conditions that may have influences on the entanglement evolution of atoms, especially on the appearance of atomic entanglement sudden death, are studied. The appearance of entanglement sudden death is sensitive to the initial conditions of the whole system, i.e., the concrete type of atomic initial state, the photon number in the cavity field, and the dipole-dipole interaction between atoms. It is shown that the strong dipole-dipole interaction between atoms can weaken the atomic entanglement sudden death.

Dynamics of pairwise entanglement between two Tavis–Cummings atoms

Jin‐Liang Guo, He‐Shan Song

We investigate the time evolution of pairwise entanglement between two Tavis–Cummings atoms for various entangled initial states, including pure and mixed states. We find that the phenomenon of entanglement sudden death behaviors is distinct in the evolution of entanglement for different initial states. What deserves mentioning here is that the initial portion of the excited state in the initial state is responsible for the sudden death of entanglement, and the degree of this effect also depends on the initial states.

Sudden Death of Entanglement between Two Atoms with Initial Tripartite Entangled State in the Tavis–Cummings Model

Qing Yang, Yang Ming, Zhuo‐Liang Cao

We study the entanglement dynamics of two atoms with initial tripartite entangled W-like state in the Tavis–Cummings model. We find that the entanglement evolvement is sensitive not only to the entanglement degree of the initial state but also to the concrete form of the initial state. The so-called sudden death effect occurs only for some initial states.

Controlling entanglement sudden birth and sudden death of two-atom X-states in Tavis-Cummings model

Shan Chuan-Jia, Jibing Liu, Tao Chen +3 more

In this paper, we investigate the entanglement dynamics of two entangled two-level atoms with initial X state and dipole-dipole coupling intensity in Tavis-Cummings model. The interesting phenomena of entanglement sudden death as well as sudden birth appear during the evolution process. We analyze in detail the effect of purity of initially entangled state of two atoms, the dipole-dipole coupling intensity between two atoms, and the field in the Fock state on the apparition time of entanglement sudden death and entanglement sudden birth. Furthermore, the conditions for the conversion of entanglement sudden death and entanglement sudden birth can be generalized when the initial entangled state is not pure. The results show that the above system parameters affect the concurrence, entanglement sudden birth and sudden death remarkably, the dipole-dipole coupling intensity affects amplitudes of the concurrence oscillation and leads time interval of the ESD to decrease. With the increasing of the purity, the time of entanglement sudden death and entanglement sudden birth will decrease, it is also notable that invariant and stable entanglement, which can be controlled by different initial states of the atoms, occurs for particular initial X state.

Entanglement dynamics in intensity-dependent double Jaynes–Cummings model for squeezed coherent thermal states

Koushik Mandal

Abstract In this paper, the entanglement dynamics of different subsystems such as atom–atom, atom–field and field–field with radiation field in squeezed coherent thermal states for the intensity-dependent double Jaynes–Cummings model (DJCM) and DJCM are investigated. The effects of squeezed and thermal photons on entanglement are examined, revealing their complementary roles in shaping the entanglement behavior in both models. One of the main features of the DJCM is the observation of entanglement sudden death for every subsystem. The effects of various interactions such as Ising interaction, single photon exchange interaction and dipole–dipole interaction (DDI) on entanglement dynamics are studied. The effects of detuning, Kerr-nonlinearity on the entanglement dynamics are investigated for every subsystem. It is noticed that proper choice of the interaction parameters associated with photon exchange interaction, DDI, detuning and Kerr-nonlinearity effectively remove entanglement deaths from the dynamics.
