Abstract

We have observed a violation of the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality in the continuous-variable regime with the use of bright relative-intensity squeezed beams. The relation between the squeezing spectrum and the g(2) functions is studied.

Abstract We present new generalizations of Cauchy–Schwarz inequalities to multiple vectors and use them to derive multi-operator quantum uncertainty relations and propose multi-operator squeezing.

Violation of the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality and anticorrelation effect in second-harmonic generation

M. Kozierowski

Applying the perturbative method, it is shown that the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality is violated in the process of second-harmonic generation. Moreover, anticorrelation between the fundamental and harmonic modes takes place.

Non-classical Effects in Multi-wave Mixing

Nadeem A. Ansari

Certain non-classical effects are presented within the framework of a theory of multi-wave mixing. It is predicted that violation of the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality and higher-order squeezing can be obtained in multi-wave mixing, under certain conditions.
