Abstract

We demonstrate the first technique for the complete temporal measurement of a single supercontinuum pulse. We achieve large ranges and high resolutions using polarization gating, a tilted gate pulse, and the cancellation of geometrical smearing.

Simplified Pre-Characterization of Chirped Pulses in Single-shot Supercontinuum Spectral Interferometry

DinhDuy Vu, Dogeun Jang, Ki‐Yong Kim

We develop a method to pre-characterize a chirped pulse in single-shot supercontinuum spectral interferometry (SSSI). In this method, the spectral phase of both modulated (probe) and unmodulated (reference) pulses can be determined simultaneously.

A method for the coherence measurement of the supercontinuum source using Michelson interferometer

V. A. Semenova, A V Tsypkin, Путилин Сергей Эдуардович +1 more

Coherent properties of supercontinuum sources are highly significant for various applications, including low-coherence interferometry and optical frequency metrology. We propose a fast method for the spatial and temporal self-coherence of the SC measurement using Michelson interferometer without a mirror movement. Furthermore, we present self-coherence measurements of the supercontinuum, generated in microstructured fiber at 780 nm.
