Model Of The Phase-Conjugate Mirror

Aleksander Błȩdowski, Wieslaw Z. Krolikowski, Adam Kujawski

The solution to the boundary-value problem for a simple model of the phase-conjugate mirror is presented. The solution is based on a set of two coupled second-order wave equations and does not assume the slowly varying envelope approximation. The formulae for the amplitudes of the waves generated in the four-wave mixing process are derived and their properties are discussed in detail.

Role of boundary conditions in four-wave mixing in photorefractive materials

Aleksander Błȩdowski, Wieslaw Z. Krolikowski, Adam Kujawski

The exact solution to the boundary value problem for a simple model of photorefractive phase conjugate mirror is presented. The slowly varying envelope approximation (SVEA) is not made. In this way in the derivation of the formula describing reflection of a plane incident wave reflections from the boundaries of the conjugator are taken into account.
