Abstract

The evolution properties of the entropy of a single-mode light field interacting with the V-type three-level atom via intensity-dependent coupling have been studied. The discussion is centered on the influence of detuning and initial photon number on the field entropy evolution. The results show that the behavi or of the field entropy is non-periodic for the cases of small detuning and weak initial light field, being similar to the single-photon Jaynes-Cummings model (JCM). On the contrary, the field entropy evolution is periodic for the cases of large detuning or strong initial light field, being similar to the two-photon JCM

Evolution of the Entropy of Squeezed Field Interacting with the Three Level Atom via Intensity-dependent Coupling

Fang Jia-Yuan

The evolution properties of the entropy of squeezed field interacting with the V-type three level atom via intensity-dependent coupling have been studied. The discussion is focused on the influence of the detuning and initial squeezing factor of light on the field entropy. The results show that the field entropy value rises with the increasing of initial squeezing factor of light. When the squeezing factor is smaller, the field entropy evolution is periodic and this periodicity vanishes gradually with the increasing of initial squeezing factor of light. The detuning influences remarkably on the field entropy which oscilates irregularly with the increasing of detuning.

The field entropy evolution of the two level atom interacting with a single mode coherent light field

Pan Ying

The field entropy evolution of two level atom interacting with a single mode coherent light field is studied by means of the complete quantum theory.Through numerical calculation, the influence of the initial mean photon number, the coupled intensity g and the excited field intensity on the field entropy evolution is investigated. It is found that the field entropy evolution will be the phenomenon of oscillation periodicity and nonperiodicity and collapse-and-revival.The results show that the influence of the initial mean photon number and the coupled intensity g on the field entropy evolution possess nonlinear properties.

Evolution of field entropy and entanglement in the intensity-dependent two-mode Jaynes–Cummings model

Gao Yun-feng, Jian Feng, Ji‐Suo Wang

The evolution of the entanglement degree of two-mode fields and atom with the intensity-dependent coupling is investigated using von Neumann entropy. The results for the initial fields in both coherent states and two-mode squeezed vacuum state are calculated. The influence of the field intensity on the entropy is discussed. It is found that the field and atom are generally in maximum entanglement but subject to periodic pulsed disentanglement completely under the condition of strong initial field.

Influence of Frequency Detuning on Evolution of Quantum Field Entropy in Multimode Nondegenerate Multi-Photon Jaynes-Cummings Model

Yang Zhi-yong

The time evolution of the field quantum entropy in the system of a multi-mode coherent field interacting with a two-level atom through the non-degenerate multi-photon process is investigated using the Von Neumann reduced entropy, the analytical expression of the multimode field entropy including the frequency detuning is obtained. The numerical results for the three-mode field interacting with the atom are presented. The influence of the frequency detuning on the field quantum entropy is discussed. It is found that the frequency detuning has nearly no effect on the entanglement between the three-mode coherent field and the two-level atom when the field and the atom are near resonance, but the time evolution of the field quantum entropy is strongly dependent on the values of the frequency detuning when the field and the atom are far from resonance, especially when the frequency detuning is large enough, the field and the atom are nearly always in entangled states.

Squeezing properties of light field interacting with the A-type three level atom via intensity-dependent coupling

Huang Chun-Jia

The squeezing properties of light field interacting with the A-type three level atom via intensity-dependent coupling are studied and the influences of detuning between the atomic transition frequency and the light frequency in single-photon process and the initial squeezing of light on the light squeezing are discussed emphatically. The results show that both the detuning and the initial squeezing of light strongly influence the squeezing of field. The light squeezing remains continuous if the detuning is big enough, but if the detuning is little the light field will be squeezed periodically. The bigger the initial squeezing factor of light is, the deeper the light squeezing is.
