Abstract

We study the nonclassical feature of the field in the two-atom Tavis-Cummings model with atomic motion using the quantum theory. The influence of atomic motion, the field mode structure and the field initial states on the properties of the light squeezing and the photon antibunching are discussed.

Study of Nonclassical Features and Quantum Dynamics in the Jaynes-Cummings Model Without RWA

Rui-hua Xie, Gong-ou Xu, Dun-huan Liu

Some nonclassical features, including photon antibunching, atomic squeezing and quantum collapse-revival phenomenon, were numerically studied in the vacuum field Jaynes–Cummings model (JCM). The influence of the initial atomic coherence on these features was discussed. It is shown that the squeezing can appear only if the atom is initially prepared in the coherent state, and photon antibunching can occur if the atom is initially in the excited state or the coherent one. The effect of the virtual-photon field was studied in JCM without the rotating-wave approximation (RWA). We have shown that even under the condition in which RWA is considered to be valid, there are significant effects on the nonc1assical features due to the interference between the virtual-photon processes and the real-photon processes. Quantum dynamics of JCM without RWA was also studied. We showed that regular dynamical behavior is exhibited in the cases rather close to the integrable limits, and irregular dynamical behavior is presented in the cases far from the integrable limits; in addition, all the nonclassical features disappear in the cases far from the integrable limits.

Quantum properties of atoms in Tavis-Cummings model with Gaussian coupling

Wang Zhong-Chun

The quantum properties of atoms in double-atom Tavis-Cummings model with Gaussian atom-field coupling are studied. The influence of atomic motion perpendicularity to the axes of resonant cavity and initial states of the system on the atomic population inversion and double-atom dipole squeezing are analysed numerically. We find that the motion affects the collapse and revival of the atomic inversion, but it doesn't affect the maximun dipole squeezing. The maximun dipole squeezing can be got when the field is vacuum and the atoms are in some special entangled state at the begining.

Quantum Properties of Atoms in Tavis-Cummings Model with Multi-Photon Gaussian Coupling

Zhang Xue-guang

The quantum properties of atoms in Gaussian coupling Tavis-Cummings model in the multi-photon transition process are studied. The influence on atomic population inversion and double-atom dipole squeezing from atomic motion, the mean photon number in initial states of the light field, number of transition photons in the multi-photon transition process are discussed with the numerical calculation method. The results show that the variation of atomic motion changes the time for effective action between atomic population inversion,double-atom dipole squeezing and fight field. The variation of number of transition photons changes oscillation amplitude and frequency of time evolution of atomic population inversion and double-atom dipole squeezing.

Multiphoton model for the interaction of single-mode squeezed-state light with a two-level atom

Shaozheng Jin

Multiphoton interaction of single-mode squeezed-state light and a two-level atom is considered based on the K-photon Jaynes–Cummings model. Time evolution of quantum fluctuation and photon statistical properties of the initial squeezing light are discussed. It is found that through interaction with a two-level atom, larger squeezing levels cannot be achieved in one-photon or multiphoton processes. For photon antibunching behavior of the light field, it is shown that a smaller initial squeezing level and an appropriately larger coherent part of the initial average photon number of the radiation field favor the generation of this nonclassical behavior, especially in the lower-order interaction processes.

Squeezing Property of Binomial State Field under the Anti-Tavis-Cummings Model

Hong‐Guang Piao

The interaction between two identical two-level atoms and single-mode binomial light field is studied in anti-Tavis-Cummings model, and the atoms stay in entangled state initially. When the classical field is strong enough, the interaction between the atoms and the light field can turn into an effective anti-Tavis-Cummings model and Tavis-Cummings model under the condition of large detuning. In this paper,we mainly probe into the squeezing property of the binomial state in anti-Tavis-Cummings model, and the influence of initial field parameters on the squeezing property of the field are discussed. The results show that the degree and period of squeezing depend strongly on the initial parameters, and energy nonconservation item has a great impact on squeezing property.
