Abstract

Considering two identical two-level atoms interacting with a single-model dissipative coherent cavity field without rotating wave approximation, we explore the entanglement dynamics of the two atoms prepared in different states using concurrence. Interestingly, our results show that the entanglement between the two atoms that initially disentangled will come up to a large constant rapidly, and then keeps steady in the following time or always has its maximum when prepared in some special Bell states. The model considered in this study is a good candidate for quantum information processing especially for quantum computation as steady high-degree atomic entanglement resource obtained in dissipative cavity.

This paper investigates quantum entanglement of two atoms in the non-dissipative and dissipative cases by means of concurrence. The results indicate that maximum entanglement condition can be prepared by controlling the interacting time and due to the two-photon transition of atoms, the time required to prepare the maximum entanglement in two-photon Tavies-Cummings model is of that in single-photon Tavies-Cummings model. In addition, the atomic spontaneous emission and cavity decay make the maximum coherence of two atoms decrease periodically.

Entanglement dynamics of the Tavis-Cummings model without rotating wave approximation

Jingpei Feng, Xuezao Ren, Shu He

We study the entanglement dynamics of T-C (Tavis-Cummings) model without rotating wave approximation. By using displaced coherent state method, the influence of initial state and coupling strength to concurrence is numerically studied. Our result demonstrates that the entanglement between two atoms always keep maximum when the initial state is antisymmetric while the non-entangled initial state produce entanglement periodically due to the effect of non-rotating terms. We also show that the coupling strength between the cavity field and atoms play a critical role in the entanglement dynamics.

Dynamic Behavior of Entanglement Between Two Spatially Separated Atoms in Two Dissipative and Driven Cavity Fields

Cui Hui-Ping, Jian Li, Liu Jin +1 more

We consider two two-level atoms, interacting with two independent dissipative cavities, each of which is driven by an external source. The two cavity fields are both initially prepared in the coherent states, and the two two-level atoms are initially prepared in the singlet state |Ψ − ⟩ = (|eg⟩ – |ge⟩)/√2. We investigate the influence of the damping constant κ, the intensity of the external sources F, and the relative difference of the atomic couplings r on the entanglement between the two atoms. In the dispersive approximation, we find that the entanglement between the two atoms decreases with the time evolution, and the decreasing rate of entanglement depends on the values of F/κ, κ/ω, and r. For the given small values of F/κ and κ/ω, on the one hand, the increasing of r favors entanglement decreasing of the atomic system, on the other hand, when r → 1 the entanglement decreasing becomes slower. With the increasing of the value of κ/ω, the influence of r on the decreasing rate of entanglement becomes smaller, and gradually disappears for the big value of κ/ω.

Engineering steady-state entanglement via dissipation and quantum Zeno dynamics in an optical cavity

Dong-Xiao Li, Xiao-Qiang Shao, Jin-Hui Wu +1 more

A new mechanism is proposed for dissipatively preparing maximal Bell entangled state of two atoms in an optical cavity. This scheme integrates the spontaneous emission, the light shift of atoms in the presence of dispersive microwave field, and the quantum Zeno dynamics induced by continuous coupling, to obtain a unique steady state irrespective of initial state. Even for a large cavity decay, a high-fidelity entangled state is achievable at a short convergence time, since the occupation of the cavity mode is inhibited by the Zeno requirement. Therefore, a low single-atom cooperativity C=g2/(κγ) is good enough for realizing a high fidelity of entanglement in a wide range of decoherence parameters. As a straightforward extension, the feasibility for preparation of two-atom Knill–Laflamme–Milburn state with the same mechanism is also discussed.

Entanglement evolution of a two-qubit system with decay beyond the rotating-wave approximation

杨青, Yang Ming, 李大创 +1 more

The entanglement property of two identical atoms, initially entangled in Bell states, coupled to a single-mode cavity is considered. Based on the reduced non-perturbative quantum master equation method, the entanglement evolution of the two atoms with decay is investigated beyond the conventional rotating-wave approximation. We show that the counter-rotating wave terms, usually neglected, have a great influence on the disentanglement behaviour of the system. The phenomena of entanglement sudden death and entanglement sudden birth will occur. In addition, we show that the entanglement can be strengthened by introducing the dipole-dipole interaction of the two atoms.

The entanglement dynamics of two entangled atoms in the dissipative cavity

In this paper, we investigate the entanglement dynamics of two entangled two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode field in a dissipative cavity. The results show that the evolution properties of the entanglement degree of two entangled atoms depend on the initial atomic entanglement degree and form, the average photon number of the cavity field, and the cavity leakage rate. When the atoms are initially in a particular entangled state, the degree of entanglement can be amplified and not influenced by the dissipation of the cavity field.
