Quantum teleportation of one- and two-photon superposition states

Abstract

Quantum teleportation of one- and two-photon superposition states based on EPR entanglement of continuous-wave two-mode squeezed state is discussed. The fidelities of teleportation axe deduced for two different input quantum states. The dependence of the fidelity on the parameters of EPR entanglement and the gain of the classical channels are shown numerically. Comparing with the teleportation of Fock state and coherent state, it is pointed out that for given EPR entanglement and classical gain, the higher the nonclassicality of the input state, the lower the accessible fidelity of teleportation.

Quantum Teleportation of One-Photon and Two-Photon Superposition States

Ying Li

One-photon and two-photon superposition states are the fundamental quantum states, which have shown interesting features, such as squeezing and anti-bunching. In this paper we discuss the quantum teleportation of such quantum states with the continuous-wave EPR states. Fidelity as a function of EPR correlation is obtained. We also compared the results with Fock state and coherent state teleportation.

Fidelity of Quantum Teleportation for Single-Mode Squeezed State Light

Zhang Jun-Xiang, Changde Xie, Kunchi Peng

The fidelity of quantum teleportation of a single-mode squeezed state of light is calculated based on the general theory of quantum-mechanical measurement in the Schrödinger picture. It is shown that the criterion for the nonclassical state teleportation is different from that for coherent state. F = 1/2 is no longer the rigorous boundary between classical and quantum teleportation for a squeezed state of light. When the quantum entanglement of an Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen (EPR) beam used for teleportation and the parameters of the system are given, the fidelity depends on the squeezing of the input squeezed state. The higher the squeezing is, the smaller the fidelity is, and the lower the classical limitation of fidelity is. The dependence of the optimum gain for teleporting a squeezed vacuum state upon the EPR entanglement is also calculated. The results obtained provide important references for designing experimental systems of teleporting a non-classical state and judging the quality of the teleported quantum state.

Continuous-variable quantum teleportation of even and odd coherent states through varied gain channels

Ying Li, Jing Zhang, Zhang Jun-Xiang +1 more

This paper has investigated quantum teleportation of even and odd coherent states in terms of the EPR entanglement states for continuous variables. It discusses the relationship between the fidelity and the entanglement of EPR states, which is characterized by the degree of squeezing and the gain of classical channels. It shows that the quality of teleporting quantum states also depends on the characteristics of the states themselves. The properties of teleporting even and odd coherent states at different intensities are investigated. The difference of teleporting two such kinds of quantum states are analysed based on the quantum distance function.

Sum squeezing, entanglement and quantum teleportation of the superposition of photon-added pair coherent state

Ho Sy Chuong, Truong Minh Duc

Abstract In this paper, we study some non-classical properties of the superposition of photon-added pair coherent state (SPAPCS) such as two-mode sum squeezing and entanglement. The obtained results show that this state has two-mode sum squeezing behavior but the pair coherent state does not. The degree of squeezing of the SPAPCS is enhanced as more and more photons are added to the two modes of the original pair coherent state. Besides, this state is an entangled state and the entanglement degree can be enhanced by adding photons to both modes of the state. When using the SPAPCS as an entangled resource for a coherent state quantum teleportation, it is shown that the quantum teleportation process is successful and the average fidelity of the process can be higher than that of the case where the original pair coherent state is used if the parameters are selected appropriately.

Time-dependent quantum teleportation via a parametric converter

Haleema Sadia Qureshi, Shakir Ullah, Fazal Ghafoor

Abstract Quantum state teleportation is an important protocol that plays a pivotal role in various quantum information tasks. Here we theoretically investigate quantum state teleportation by exploiting a general two-mode Gaussian entangled state produced by a parametric converter when two single-mode Gaussian states (SMGSs) in terms of the non-classicality and purity are employed as inputs to the parametric converter. In particular, the time-dependent teleportation fidelity is analyzed with respect to the squeezing parameter and phase-space quadratures of the teleported squeezed coherent state. We show that the teleportation fidelity is maximal when ratio of the expectation values of photon number in the two modes of the evolved Gaussian entangled state is equal to 1. Quantum state teleportation in terms of the purity and non-classicality of the general two SMGSs seems to be a good choice for experimental realization of quantum communication and information processing.
