Entanglement in a Cavity QED system with a multi-level atom in a weakly driven two-mode cavity

For a 4-level atom in a weakly driven 2-mode cavity, we explore the entanglement between the atom, and the field modes. We explore the relation between various cross-correlation functions and the usual measures of entanglement.

For an atom in a driven cavity we find that the atom-cavity entanglement is maximized for an intermediate driving field strength. We find that entanglement can be transiently enhanced by a measurement.

Entangled and disentangled evolution for a single atom in a driven cavity

For an atom in a driven cavity we find states that are highly entangled, and that spontaneous emission can transiently increase entanglement. We propose a correlation function measurement and discuss time evolution of entanglement.

Entanglement measurement in a Cavity QED System

We measure an entanglement witness of a cavity QED system with the cross correlation of its orthogonal modes. The driven mode has information about the field, while the nondriven about the atom through spontaneous emission.
