Abstract

With great significance in describing the state of quantum system, the Wigner function of the spin half noncommutative Landau problem is studied in this paper. On the basis of the review of the Wigner function in the commutative space, which is subject to the *eigenvalue equation, Hamiltonian of the spin half Landau problem in the noncommutative phase space is given. Then, energy levels and Wigner functions in the form of a matrix of the spin half Landau problem in the noncommutative phase space are obtained by means of the *-eigenvalue equation (or Moyal equation).

Wigner functions and Moyal equation in noncommutative space

Wang Jian-hua

Firstly this paper makes a brief review of the Moyal equation and Wigner Functions in commutative space. Then, the Moyal equation which the Wigner Functions support is introduced in Non-communacative phase space. Finally,by redefining the raising and lowering operator,Wigner functions for the coherent state of two-dimensional Harmonic oscillators are obtained.

Wigner quantization of Hamilton-Dirac systems

Tudor Stefan Ratiu, Oleg Georgievich Smolyanov

This paper describes the states of quantum versions of finite dimensional Hamilton–Dirac systems in terms of (analogues of) the Wigner function (various definitions of Wigner functions for classical Hamiltonian systems can be found in [8]). We give a system of equations, which we call the Moyal–Dirac system, describing the evolution of this Wigner function. The passage from the Moyal equation describing the evolution of the quantum version of a classical Hamiltonian system to the Moyal–Dirac system describing the evolution of the quantum version of the corresponding Hamilton–Dirac system is similar to the passage from the Liouville equation describing the evolution of a classical Hamiltonian system to the Liouville–Dirac system of equations describing the evolution of the corresponding Hamilton–Dirac system. Thus, our Moyal–Dirac system is a generalization of both the Liouville–Dirac system and the Moyal equation

WIGNER FUNCTIONS FOR THE LANDAU PROBLEM IN NONCOMMUTATIVE SPACES

Omer Faruk Dayi, LARA T. KELLEYANE

An electron moving on plane in a uniform magnetic field orthogonal to the plane is known as the Landau problem. Wigner functions for the Landau problem when the plane is noncommutative are found employing solutions of the Schrödinger equation as well as solving the ordinary ⋆-genvalue equation in terms of an effective Hamiltonian. Then, we let momenta and coordinates of the phase space be noncommutative and introduce a generalized ⋆-genvalue equation. We solve this equation to find the related Wigner functions and show that under an appropriate choice of noncommutativity relations they are independent of noncommutativity parameter.

The Landau problem and nonclassicality

Exploring the concept of the extended Galilei group [Formula: see text]. Representations for field theories in a symplectic manifold have been derived in association with the method of the Wigner function. The representation is written in the light-cone of a de Sitter space–time in five dimensions. A Hilbert space is constructed, endowed with a symplectic structure, which is used as a representation space for the Lie algebra of [Formula: see text]. This representation gives rise to the spin-0 Schrödinger (Klein–Gordon-like) equation for the wave functions in phase space, such that the dependent variables have the content of position and linear momentum. This is a particular example of a conformal theory, such that the wave functions are associated with the Wigner function through the Moyal product. We construct the Pauli–Schrödinger (Dirac-like) equation in phase space in its explicitly covariant form. In addition, we analyze the gauge symmetry for spin-1/2 particles in phase space and show how implement the minimal coupling in this case. We applied to the problem of an electron in an external field, and we recovered the nonrelativistic Landau levels. Finally, we study the parameter of negativity associated with the nonclassicality of the system.
