COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF QUANTUM KEY DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS

Sergiy O. Gnatyuk

Quantum cryptography has attracted considerable interest among specialists in information security. The overwhelming majority of research projects in quantum cryptography are related to the development of quantum key distribution protocols. Absence of generalized classification & systematization makes it difficult to estimate the level of the latest achievements and does not allow using quantum technologies with full efficiency. From this viewpoint the analysis of existed quantum key distribution systems, basic protocols, strengths & weaknesses, its implementation prospects was carried out in the paper. It gives a possibility to formalize some actual problems of quantum key distribution systems and outline the ways of its solving.

А.А. Боев, S. Vorobey, С.Ю. Казанцев +6 more

The possibility of quantum key distribution in the atmosphere has been experimentally demonstrated by coupling commercially available quantum key distribution units designed for fiber-optic communication lines with atmospheric optical communication terminals. For distances up to 3100m, data on losses in a quantum channel on an optical path were obtained and the influence of systems for intelligent adjustment of atmospheric communication terminals on the synchronization system of quantum communication blocks was studied. It has been established that failures of synchronization systems in the case of quantum key distribution in the atmosphere at distances greater than 10m are due to the peculiarities of the algorithm implemented in the quantum communication unit.

Протоколы квантового распределения ключей

В.В. Пономарева, Я. С. Розова

Algorithms of keys forming are considered. Probability of photon detection is calculated. The results of calculations demonstrate that the most effective protocol is BB84. Version of the protocol BB84 with phase coding is the most widespread because polarization coding doesn't provide acceptable level of noise stability. Nowadays quantum cryptography protocols are useful in commercial quantum key distribution systems.

Статистическая обработка сигналов в системах квантового распределения ключей

Задорин Анатолий Семенович, Махорин Дмитрий Алексеевич

In the paper we propose a model of amplification protocol with quantum key distribution by monitoring the levels of statistical error rate of key generation and distribution of quasi-one-photon states in quantum channel. The boundaries of the safety zone of a quantum channel for different types of attacks has been set.

A Review of Security Evaluation of Practical Quantum Key Distribution System

Shi‐Hai Sun, Anqi Huang

Although the unconditional security of quantum key distribution (QKD) has been widely studied, the imperfections of the practical devices leave potential loopholes for Eve to spy the final key. Thus, how to evaluate the security of QKD with realistic devices is always an interesting and opening question. In this paper, we briefly review the development of quantum hacking and security evaluation technology for a practical decoy state BB84 QKD system. The security requirement and parameters in each module (source, encoder, decoder and detector) are discussed, and the relationship between quantum hacking and security parameter are also shown.
