Abstract

We present an exact, time-dependent solution for a two-dimensional Pauli oscillator deformed by Dunkl operators in the presence of an Aharonov--Bohm (AB) flux. By replacing conventional momenta with Dunkl momenta and allowing arbitrary time dependence in both, mass and frequency, we derive a deformed Pauli Hamiltonian that encodes reflection symmetries and topological gauge phases. Employing the Lewis-Riesenfeld invariant method, we derive exact expressions for the eigenvalues and spinor eigenfunctions of the system. Crucially, the AB flux imposes symmetry constraints on the Dunkl parameters of the form $ν_1 = \mp ν_2 $, linking the reflection symmetry ($ε= \pm 1 $) to the quantization of angular momentum. These constraints modify the energy spectrum and wavefunctions of the angular operator and the invariant operator. Our framework reveals novel spectral characteristics arising from the interplay between topology and Dunkl symmetry, with potential implications for quantum simulation in engineered systems such as cold atoms and quantum dots.

Dunkl--Pauli Oscillator in an Aharonov--Bohm Flux: Restriction of Admissible Angular Sectors and Thermodynamic Signatures

Ahmed Tedjani, Boubakeur Khantoul

We study a two-dimensional Dunkl--Pauli oscillator in the presence of an Aharonov--Bohm (AB) flux. The combination of reflection symmetry (via Dunkl operators) and a topological gauge field imposes a nontrivial constraint on the admissible quantum states: the regularity condition on radial wave functions, together with the matching conditions at the flux tube, leads to a compatibility relation $ν_1+\varepsilonν_2=0$ and forces the emergence of a lowest angular quantum number~$\ell_0$. As a result, the admissible angular sectors are restricted rather than the spectrum being merely shifted in energy. Using the exact spectrum, we construct the canonical partition function and derive closed-form expressions for the internal energy, entropy, and heat capacity. The thermodynamic quantities directly reflect this spectral constraint: the low-temperature behaviour is governed by~$\ell_0$, and the heat capacity exhibits a flux-controlled Schottky-like peak. The Dunkl parameter~$ν$ plays a dual role: within a fixed sector it shifts the energy scale, while globally it controls the flux threshold that determines which sectors are admissible. At high temperatures the classical two-dimensional oscillator limit is recovered. Our results demonstrate that the interplay between Dunkl symmetry and AB flux qualitatively modifies the set of admissible states, with observable thermodynamic signatures.

We use the Lewis–Riesenfeld theory to determine the exact form of the wavefunctions of a two-dimensional Pauli equation of a charged spin 1∕2 particle with time-dependent mass and frequency in the presence of the Aharonov–Bohm effect and a two-dimensional time-dependent harmonic oscillator. We find that the irregular solution at the origin as well as the regular one contributes to the phase of the wavefunction.

In this paper, we investigate the analytical solution of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation for a harmonic oscillator with time-dependent mass and frequency, coupled with angular-dependent potential energy by utilizing the Dunkl derivatives. To obtain the solution, we employ the Lewis–Riesenfeld invariant methodology. Our approach broadens the scope of quantum mechanical analyses, offering exact solutions and new insights into dynamic quantum systems under varying conditions.

A time-dependent 2D harmonic oscillator in the presence of the Aharonov–Bohm effect with a time-dependent flux radius

Mustapha Maamache, Nadir Chaabi, Y. Saadi

The quantum states of the 2D time-dependent harmonic oscillator with the Aharonov–Bohm (AB) effect are investigated by employing the invariant operator method and the unitary transformation approach. The time-dependent radius case of a solenoid is treated. The qualitative properties of the invariant operator spectrum are described separately for the different values of the parameter C appearing in the nonlinear auxiliary equation, i.e. C>0, C=0 and C 0) or continuous (C≤0). The time-dependent cross section for a free particle scattered by the AB potential is obtained.

Influence of Auxiliary Equation on Wave Functions for Time-Dependent Pauli Equation in Presence of Aharonov–Bohm Effect

Mustapha Maamache, C. Lahoulou, Y. Saadi

Invariant operator method for discrete or continuous spectrum eigenvalue and unitary transformation approach are employed to study the two-dimensional time-dependent Pauli equation in presence of the Aharonov–Bohm effect (AB) and external scalar potential. For the spin particles the problem with the magnetic field is that it introduces a singularity into wave equation at the origin. A physical motivation is to replace the zero radius flux tube by one of radius R, with the additional condition that the magnetic field be confined to the surface of the tube, and then taking the limit R → 0 at the end of the computations. We point that the invariant operator must contain the step function θ(r – R). Consequently, the problem becomes more complicated. In order to avoid this difficulty, we replace the radius R by ρ(t)R, where ρ(t) is a positive time-dependent function. Then at the end of calculations we take the limit R → 0. The qualitative properties for the invariant operator spectrum are described separately for the different values of the parameter C appearing in the nonlinear auxiliary equation satisfied by ρ(t), i.e., C > 0, C = 0, and C < 0. Following the C's values the spectrum of quantum states is discrete (C > 0) or continuous (C ≤ 0).
