Abstract

In this paper we introduce the $q$-deformed Heisenberg picture equation. We consider some examples such as : the spinless particle, the electrón interaction with a magnnetic field and $q$-deformed harmonnic oscillator. The $q$-Heisenberg picture equation for any dynamical function at the end of the paper.

Perturbative Aspects of q-Deformed Dynamics

J.-z. Zhang, P. Osland

Within the framework of the q-deformed Heisenberg algebra a dynamical equation of q-deformed quantum mechanics is discussed. The perturbative aspects of the q-deformed Schr\\"odinger equation are analyzed. General representations of the additional momentum-dependent interaction originating from the q-deformed effects are presented in two approaches. As examples, such additional interactions related to the harmonic-oscillator potential and the Morse potential are demonstrated.

The quantum mechanical Schrodinger picture of a q-oscillator

Trong Tuong Truong

A q-deformed version of standard quantum mechanics in the coordinate Schrodinger picture is obtained by replacing the ordinary coordinate derivative by the so-called q-discrete derivative as the representative of the momentum operator. The chosen q-discrete derivative is symmetric with respect to the exchange of q and q -1 . Under the usually adopted assumptions a q-deformed Schrodinger equation is derived for a harmonic oscillator. The complete set of eigenfunctions can be explicitly constructed as special q-functions and the corresponding energy eigenvalues are identical to those obtained by Biedenharn in his pioneering work (1989). This q-deformed oscillator exhibits a rich novel structure including dynamical symmetry and in the limit q to 1 it reveals some hitherto unknown features of the harmonic oscillator eigenfunctions.

Deformed Oscillators with Interaction

O. Batsevych

Deformation of the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra W s of creation-annihilation operators is studied and the problem of eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian for s deformed oscillators with interaction is solved within this algebra. At first, types of deformation are found for which solutions could be presented analytically and a simple q−deformation is considered by the means of the perturbation theory. Cases of reducing Hamiltonians which do not preserve the total particle number to that studied here are indicated. Investigations of new types of symmetries in different areas of mathematical physics by using the Inverse Scattering Method (ISM) and nonlinear differential equations, led to the appearance of notions ”Quantum Group”, ”Quantum Algebra” [1]. Nowadays, the deformed quantum statistics, parastatistics and corresponding algebras of creation-annihilation operators are widely studied. The common Heisenberg-Weyl algebra W s consists of generators ai, a + , ni, i =1 ,...,s ,

Non-relativistic Schroedinger theory on q-deformed quantum spaces II, The free non-relativistic particle and its interactions

Hartmut Wachter

This is the second part of a paper about a q-deformed analog of non-relativistic Schroedinger theory. It applies the general ideas of part I and tries to give a description of one-particle states on q-deformed quantum spaces like the braided line or the q-deformed Euclidean space in three dimensions. Hamiltonian operators for the free q-deformed particle in one as well as three dimensions are introduced. Plane waves as solutions to the corresponding Schroedinger equations are considered. Their completeness and orthonormality relations are written down. Expectation values of position and momentum observables are taken with respect to one-particle states and their time-dependence is discussed. A potential is added to the free-particle Hamiltonians and q-analogs of the Ehrenfest theorem are derived from the Heisenberg equations of motion. The conservation of probability is proved.

Non-relativistic Schroedinger theory on q-deformed quantum spaces I, Mathematical framework and equations of motion

Hartmut Wachter

The aim of these three papers (I, II, and III) is to develop a q-deformed version of non-relativistic Schroedinger theory. Paper I introduces the fundamental mathematical and physical concepts. The braided line and the three-dimensional q-deformed Euclidean space play the role of position space. For both cases the algebraic framework is extended by a time element. A short review of the elements of q-deformed analysis on the spaces under consideration is given. The time evolution operator is introduced in a consistent way and its basic properties are discussed. These reasonings are continued by proposing q-deformed analogs of the Schroedinger and the Heisenberg picture.

Quantum deformations of the Heisenberg equations of motion

Alan Chodos, Daniel G. Caldi

The authors consider various formulations of what may be called q-quantum mechanics. One involves replacing the commutator that appears in the Heisenberg equations of motion by the 'quommutator': (A,B) q =qAB-(1/q)BA. They formally integrate the equations of motion, study some simple examples and discuss various apparent difficulties such as lack of conservation of energy, lack of unitarity and the unboundedness of the norm. They also consider another formulation in which the quantum bracket of the time derivative of an operator is used instead of just the time derivative, but the commutator is unchanged, in the Heisenberg equations of motion. This nonlinear treatment while preserving conservation of energy, has its own set of difficulties due to the nonlinearities. They also suggest that the quantum parameter may function as a kind of regulator for the time evolution of the system.
