Teleportation of a qubit using exotic entangled coherent states

Abstract

In this paper, we study the exotic Landau problem at the classical level where two conserved quantities are derived. At the quantum level, the corresponding quantum operators of the conserved quantities provide two oscillator representations from which we derive two Boson Fock spaces. Using the normalized coherent states which are the minimum uncertainty states on non-commutative configuration space isomorphic to each of the boson Fock space, we form entangled coherent states which are Bell-like states labeled quasi-Bell states. The effect of non-maximality of a quasi-Bell state based quantum channel is investigated in the context of a teleportation of a qubit

Teleportation of two-qubit entangled state via non-maximally entangled GHZ state

Kan Wang, Xutao Yu, Zaichen Zhang

Quantum teleportation is of significant meaning in quantum information. We study the probabilistic teleportation of unknown two-qubit entangled state utilizing non-maximally entangled GHZ state as quantum channel. We formulate it as unambiguous state discrimination problem and derive exact optimal POVM operator for maximizing the success probability of unambiguous state discrimination. Only one three-qubit POVM for the sender, one two-qubit unitary operation for the receiver and two cbits for outcome notification are required in this scheme. The unitary operation is given in the form of concise formula and average fidelity is calculated. We show that our scheme is applicable in the situation where the information of quantum channel is only available for the sender.

QUANTUM TELEPORTATION OF AN ARBITRARY N-QUBIT STATE VIA NON-MAXIMALLY ENTANGLED STATE

Liu Yu-Ling, Zhong‐Xiao Man, Yun‐Jie Xia

We explicitly present two schemes for quantum teleportation of an arbitrary N-qubit entangled state using, respectively, non-maximally entangled Bell states and GHZ states as the quantum channels, and generalized Bell states as the measurement basis. The scheme succeeds with unit fidelity but less than unit probability. By introducing additional qubit and unitary operations, the success probability of these two schemes can be increased.

Quantum teleportation, entanglement, and Bell nonlocality in correlated noisy channels

Zhan-Yun Wang, Zhi-Yong Qin

Abstract We investigate how the correlations between consecutive actions of the two-qubit noisy channels affect quantum teleportation, entanglement, and Bell nonlocality. For the initial Bell and Werner states used for teleportation, we established connections among these three quantities, and obtained the minimum correlation strengths for achieving the nonclassical teleportation fidelity, nonvanishing entanglement, and Bell-nonlocal states. It was found that these three quantities can be noticeably enhanced due to the existence of the channel correlations. By considering a colored dephasing channel, we further investigated the combined effects of the channel correlation and the (non-)Markovianity of the channel on the teleportation fidelity, entanglement, and Bell nonlocality. The result shows that while they decrease monotonically with time in the Markovian regime, their strengths can be further enhanced due to the non-Markovian memory effect in a wide time region.

PERFECT TELEPORTATION OF UNKNOWN QUDIT BY A d-LEVEL GHZ CHANNEL

Yinxiang Long, Daowen Qiu, Dongyang Long

In the past decades, various schemes of teleportation of quantum states through different types of quantum channels (a prior shared entangled state between the sender and the receiver), e.g. EPR pairs, generalized Bell states, qubit GHZ states, standard W states and its variations, genuine multiqubit entanglement states, etc., have been developed. Recently, three-qutrit quantum states and two-qudit quantum states have also been considered as quantum channels for teleportation. In this paper, we investigate the teleportation of an unknown qudit using a d level GHZ state, i.e. a three-qudit maximally entangled state, as quantum channel. We design a general scheme of faithful teleportation of an unknown qudit using a d-level GHZ state shared between the sender and the receiver, or among the sender, the receiver and the controller; an unknown two-qudit of Schmidt form using a d level GHZ state shared between the sender and the receiver; as well as an unknown arbitrary two-qudit using two shared d level GHZ states between the sender, the receiver and the controller, or using one shared d level GHZ state and one shared generalized Bell state. We obtain the general formulas of Alice's measurement basis, Charlie's measurement basis and Bob's unitary operations to recover the input state of Alice. It is intuitionistic to generalize the protocols of teleporting an arbitrary two-qudit state to teleporting an arbitrary n-qudit state.

Teleportation via maximally and non-maximally entangled mixed states

Satyabrata Adhikari, A. S. Majumdar, Sovik Roy +2 more

We study the efficiency of two-qubit mixed entangled states as resources for quantum teleportation. We first consider two maximally entangled mixed states, viz., the Werner state\cite{werner}, and a class of states introduced by Munro {\it et al.} \cite{munro}. We show that the Werner state when used as teleportation channel, gives rise to better average teleportation fidelity compared to the latter class of states for any finite value of mixedness. We then introduce a non-maximally entangled mixed state obtained as a convex combination of a two-qubit entangled mixed state and a two-qubit separable mixed state. It is shown that such a teleportation channel can outperform another non-maximally entangled channel, viz., the Werner derivative for a certain range of mixedness. Further, there exists a range of parameter values where the former state satisfies a Bell-CHSH type inequality and still performs better as a teleportation channel compared to the Werner derivative even though the latter violates the inequality.
