Abstract

We construct a class of nonlinear coherent states (NLCSs) by introducing a more general nonlinear function and study their nonclassical properties, specifically the second-order correlation function [Formula: see text], Mandel parameter Q, squeezing, amplitude-squared squeezing and Wigner function of the optical field. The results indicate that the nonclassical properties of the new types of even and odd NLCSs crucially depend on the nonlinear functions. More concretely, we find that the new even NLCSs could exhibit the photon-bunching effect, whereas the new odd NLCSs could show the photon-antibunching effect. The degree of squeezing is also significantly affected by the parameter selection of these NLCSs. By employing various forms of nonlinear functions, it becomes possible to construct the NLCSs with diverse properties, thereby providing a theoretical foundation for the corresponding experimental investigations.

Non-classical properties and entanglement of two-mode nonlinear semi-coherent states

Azam Anbaraki, Davood Afshar

Abstract Two-mode nonlinear semi-coherent states and their even and odd superpositions are defined. Their non-classical properties, including photon statistics and squeezing, are then evaluated. We use the Mandel parameter and the second-order coherence function to study sub-Poissonian photon statistics and the photon antibunching effect. By calculating the variance of two-mode quadrature operators, we evaluate the squeezing effect for the introduced states. Next, we examine entanglement using concurrence. We have found that all states display non-classical properties within certain ranges of the parameters involved. The calculation of concurrence demonstrates that all states are entangled within specific ranges of parameters.

ON A GENERAL FORMALISM OF NONLINEAR CHARGE COHERENT STATES, THEIR QUANTUM STATISTICS AND NONCLASSICAL PROPERTIES

F. EFTEKHARI, M. K. TAVASSOLY

In this paper, we will present a general formalism for constructing the nonlinear charge coherent states which in special case lead to the standard charge coherent states. The su Q(1, 1) algebra as a nonlinear deformed algebra realization of the introduced states is established. In addition, the corresponding even and odd nonlinear charge coherent states have also been introduced. The formalism has the potentiality to be applied to systems either with known "nonlinearity function" f(n) or solvable quantum system with known "discrete nondegenerate spectrum" en. As some physical appearances, a few known physical systems in the two mentioned categories have been considered. Finally, since the construction of nonclassical states is a central topic of quantum optics, nonclassical features and quantum statistical properties of the introduced states have been investigated by evaluating single- and two-mode squeezing, su (1, 1)-squeezing, Mandel parameter and antibunching effect (via g-correlation function) as well as some of their generalized forms we have introduced in the present paper.

The Squeezing Effect of a New Kind of Even and Odd Nonlinear Coherent States and Their Quantum Statistical Properties about A=a~(±1)f(N)

Yongxin Zhan

In the paper,a new kind of even and odd nonlinear coherent states is constructed in the Fock space. Using numerical method, their quantum statistical properties such as amplitude-squeezing and anti-bunching are investigated. The results show that in the range of |α|,amplitude-squeezing effect and anti-bunching effect appear in the direction X2 in the new kind of even and odd coherent states.

f -Deformed Squeezed Vacuum and First Excited States, Their Superposition and Corresponding Nonclassical Properties

A. NoormandiPour, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly

In this paper, we introduce two new classes of nonlinear squeezed states that we name as f-deformed squeezed vacuum state |ξ, f〉 even and f-deformed squeezed first excited state |ξ, f〉 odd , which according to their production processes, essentially include only even and odd bases of Fock space, respectively. In the continuation, we introduce the superposition of these two distinct nonlinear squeezed states with a respective phase φ. Then, some of the criteria which imply the nonclassicality of the states, such as Mandel parameter, second-order correlation function, quadrature squeezing, amplitude-squared squeezing, Husimi and Wigner–Weyl quasi-distribution functions, are numerically examined. At last, by considering a well-known nonlinearity function associated with a nonlinear physical system, we present our results which outcome from the numerical calculations. It is shown that, the introduced f-deformed states can reveal high nonclassical features.

The Mth nonlinear coherent states

S Majid Heydari, Akbar Jafari, O. Abbasi

Abstract Since radiation field states are very important in the interaction with the various atomic structures, in this article we introduce a new type of quantum states, which we call ‘Mth nonlinear coherent states’. We define these states based on acting of the number operator M times n ˆ M on a nonlinear coherent state. By analyzing the photon distribution function and its overlap with the nonlinear coherent states, it becomes clear that these states are very similar to the corresponding nonlinear coherent states. We also investigate the nonclassical features of such states for different values of M, and it is determined that the occurrence of sub-Poissonian photon statistics, normal squeezing, and amplitude squared squeezing are considerable nonclassical properties of the Mth nonlinear coherent states. Also, examining the Husimi function shows a local behavior for the introduced states. Furthermore, by calculating the Wigner function, we find out that in some points of the phase space, the value of this function is negative which could be considered as a nonclassical feature for these states.
