Abstract

Abstract The quantumness of Dirac particles for quantized fields in a dilatonic black hole is estimated by means of quantum channel. A general Bloch vector representation of quantum channel in black hole spacetimes beyond single mode approximation is developed. The nonclassicality of Dirac particles can be measured by the minimization of quantum coherence over all orthonormal basis sets. The quantumness of the channel decreases as the dilaton field increases. The interplay between the external reservoir noise and dilaton black hole on the dynamical behavior of quantum coherence and steerability is investigated in the Pauli basis. The external environment is modeled by a random telegraph noise channel. The monotonous decay of quantum nonlocality occurs in the weak coupling case. The degradation and revival of quantum nonlocality are observed in the strong coupling condition. It is found that quantum fluctuation effects of the external reservoir can protect quantum coherence and steerability from the information loss of the black hole.

Decoherence of quantum parameter estimation for open Dirac particle in Garfinkle–Horowitz–Strominger dilation black hole

Abstract We introduce and study a quantum channel that arises from the structure of the vacuum state of Dirac fields propagating in a Garfinkle–Horowitz–Strominger ( $$\mathrm {GHS}$$ GHS ) dilation black hole spacetime. We put forward the concept of quantum information divergence, which is a new measure for relativistic parameter estimation. We employ quantum metrology to estimate the amplitude and relative phase of a Dirac field state using the quantum Fisher information and information divergence. The decoherence of quantum parameter estimation is studied through the evolution of the Bloch vector for arbitrary initial states subjected to the quantum channel and external noises. We find that the quantum information divergence decreases more than the quantum Fisher information as a function of the radiation temperature. Due to the Pauli exclusion principle and Dirac statistics, the estimation precision will gradually decrease to a non-zero value. In order to study the decoherence in the dilation black hole, we obtain the monotonic decrease of quantum coherence when an initial field evolves from the highly correlated state to the current cosmic background. The external noises can further suppress the decoherence effect from the black hole.

Quantum coherence and quantum Fisher information of Dirac particles in curved spacetime under decoherence

Chun-yao Liu, Zheng‐Wen Long, Qi-Liang He

Previous studies have shown that the decoherence of environments generally negatively influences the quantum correlations in the Schwarzschild black hole . In our paper, we find that the decoherence of the generalized amplitude damping (GAD) channel has both positive and negative effects on the quantum coherence of Dirac fields, which means that the decoherence of environments can not only reduce the quantum coherence but also increase the quantum coherence in Schwarzschild spacetime. This result banishes the widespread belief that the decoherence of the environment can only destroy the quantum coherence in curved spacetime. Furthermore, another novel phenomenon has been observed for the first time: with increasing Hawking temperature T, the QFI of physically inaccessible modes rapidly decays from infinity to 0, which may provide a way to detect whether the particles enter the physically inaccessible region or not. This result may provide a new perspective for exploring and analyzing black holes.

Uncertainty relations for quantum coherence in the background of dilaton black holes

Xiao‐Gang Fan, Zhiyong Ding, Huan Yang +2 more

Abstract The coherence of a quantum system can be considered as the available physical resource, and its quantification respects the choice of reference bases. In this paper, we propose the uncertainty relations for quantum coherence (URQC) of a bipartite system AB in mutually unbiased bases, where particle A is the measured particle and B is regarded as the quantum memory. It is confirmed that the Holevo quantity can improve the lower bound of coherence. By defining the tightness as the difference between coherence and its lower bound, we find that the tightness of the improved URQC is independent of the quantum memory. As an example of application, we investigate the URQC of Dirac particles in the background of a Garfinkle–Horowitz–Strominger dilaton black hole beyond the single-mode approximation. It shows that the lower bound of coherence decreases monotonically with the increase of dilaton parameter due to the Hawking effect. Moreover, since the subsystem A is not affected by the black hole, the tightness of the improved URQC is always keep constant. It worth mentioning that the change of coherence can be precisely predicted via the known tightness and the improved lower bound measured experimentally.

Dilaton gravity can enhance quantum coherence and reduce entanglement

Zejun Wang, Zhihong Liu, Yu-Xuan Wang +1 more

We investigate the influence of the Garfinkle-Horowitz-Strominger (GHS) dilaton black hole on different quantum resources of Dirac fields beyond the single-mode approximation. By employing the negativity to characterize quantum entanglement and the $l_1$-norm and the relative entropy of coherence to characterize quantum coherence, we demonstrate that these resources exhibit remarkably different responses to the gravitational field. Specifically, increasing the dilaton parameter continuously suppresses quantum entanglement, leaving only a finite residual amount in the strong-gravity regime, whereas quantum coherence is enhanced, indicating that the dilaton-induced spacetime affects nonlocal quantum correlations and local quantum superposition in fundamentally different ways. Furthermore, we show that an initially maximally entangled state does not always possess the largest negativity after propagating in the GHS dilaton spacetime; instead, under appropriate conditions, certain non-maximally entangled states can retain stronger entanglement than the maximally entangled one. These findings reveal the resource-dependent nature of gravitational effects in dilaton black hole backgrounds and provide new insights into the manipulation and protection of quantum resources for relativistic quantum information processing in curved spacetime.

Generation of quantum coherence for continuous variables between causally disconnected regions in dilaton spacetime

Qinglong Xiao, Cuihong Wen, Jiliang Jing +1 more

Abstract We study the dynamics of Gaussian quantum coherence under the background of a Garfinkle–Horowitz–Strominger dilaton black hole. It is shown that the dilaton field has evident effects on the degree of coherence for all the bipartite subsystems. The bipartite Gaussian coherence is not affected by the frequency of the scalar field for an uncharged or an extreme dilaton black hole. It is found that the initial coherence is not completely destroyed even for an extreme dilaton black hole, which is quite different from the behavior of quantum steering because the latter suffers from a “sudden death” under the same conditions. This is nontrivial because one can employ quantum coherence as a resource for quantum information processing tasks even if quantum correlations have been destroyed by the strong gravitational field. In addition, it is demonstrated that the generation of quantum coherence between the initial separable modes is easier for low-frequency scalar fields. At the same time, quantum coherence is smoothly generated betweenone pair of partners and exhibits a “sudden birth” behavior between another pairs in the curved spacetime.

Quantum discord and measurement-induced disturbance in the background of dilaton black holes

Jieci Wang, Jiliang Jing, Heng Fan

We study the dynamics of classical correlation, quantum discord, and measurement-induced disturbance of Dirac fields in the background of a dilaton black hole. We present an alternative physical interpretation of single mode approximation for Dirac fields in black hole spacetimes. We show that the classical and quantum correlations are degraded as the increase of black hole's dilaton. We find that, comparing to the inertial systems, the quantum correlation measured by the one-side measuring discord is always not symmetric with respect to the measured subsystems, while the measurement-induced disturbance is symmetric. The symmetry of classical correlation and quantum discord is influenced by gravitation produced by the dilaton of the black hole.
