Abstract

In this paper, we focus on two different kinds of multipartite correlation, k -nonseparability and k -partite entanglement, both of which can describe the essential characteristics of multipartite entanglement. We propose effective methods to detect k -nonseparability and k -partite entanglement in terms of quantum Fisher information. We illustrate the significance of our results and show that they identify some k -nonseparability and k -partite entanglement that cannot be identified by known criteria by several concrete examples.

Detecting k -nonseparability via quantum Fisher information

Yan Hong, Shunlong Luo, Hongting Song

The $k$-nonseparability is a kind of multipartite quantum correlation which can be used to characterize some aspects of multipartite entanglement. In this paper, we discuss the detection of $k$-nonseparability of $n$-partite quantum states from an information perspective and obtain some $k$-nonseparability criteria in terms of quantum Fisher information. These criteria can identify many $k$-nonseparable states, and their advantages over an important and well-known $k$-nonseparability criterion [M. Huber et al., Phys. Rev. A 88, 042328 (2013)] are illustrated by several typical examples.

We investigate $k$-nonseparability of $n$-partite quantum states which is an important kind of correlations characterizing multipartite entanglement. We derive some $k$-nonseparability criteria in the form of variance and quantum Fisher information, and illustrate their complementary features in the detection of $k$-nonseparability through several examples.

Detection of $k$-nonseparable $n$-partite quantum states

Ting Gao, Yan Hong

The detection of multipartite entanglement in arbitrary dimensional systems is investigated. We derive useful $k$-separability criteria of mixed $n$-partite ($n\geq 3$) quantum states to detect $k$-nonseparable $n$-partite quantum states. Our criteria can be expressed by the elements of the density matrix, which allows a simple and practical evaluation and computation. They are experimentally accessible without quantum state tomography.

Detecting k -nonseparability and k -partite entanglement with generalized skew information and mutually unbiased measurements

Xiaofei Qi, Yuyang Pang, Jinchuan Hou

Abstract Multipartite quantum entanglement, as a core quantum resource, is fundamental to the advancement of quantum science and technology. In multipartite quantum systems, there are two kinds of quantum entanglement: k -nonseparability and k -partite entanglement. In this paper, we propose sufficient criteria for detecting k -nonseparability and k -partite entanglement by using the generalized Wigner–Yanase skew information and mutually unbiased measurements. Examples are given to demonstrate the detection capability and advantages of these criteria. As an application, an example of recognizing the networks by detecting the depth of quantum networks is given.

Detection of genuinely entangled and nonseparable n -partite quantum states

Ting Gao, Yan Hong

We investigate the detection of entanglement in $n$-partite quantum states. We obtain practical separability criteria to identify genuinely entangled and nonseparable mixed quantum states. No numerical optimization or eigenvalue evaluation is needed, and our criteria can be evaluated by simple computations involving components of the density matrix. We provide examples in which our criteria perform better than all known separability criteria. Specifically, we are able to detect genuine $n$-partite entanglement which has previously not been identified. In addition, our criteria can be used in today's experiments.

Entanglement detection via quantum Fisher information

Nan Li, Shunlong Luo

We propose an entanglement criterion in terms of quantum Fisher information, which complements the criterion based on variance and local uncertainty relations [H. F. Hofmann and S. Takeuchi, Phys. Rev. A 68, 032103 (2003)]. We illustrate the significance of this criterion by showing that it can reveal entanglement undetectable by the variance method. The dual relation between the criterion based on quantum Fisher information and that based on variance are highlighted. The combination of these two criteria leads to a refined method for entanglement detection, which is stronger than when either one is used alone.
