Abstract

The generation of coherent superposition of distinct physical systems and the construction of robust entangled states under decoherence are the most experimental challenges of quantum technologies. In this work, we investigate the behaviors of catlike states of a deformed harmonic oscillator under dissipative decoherence. Varying the deformation parameters, we obtain catlike states having more resistance against decoherence than catlike states of the ordinary harmonic oscillator. Furthermore, we study nonclassical properties and entanglement of different catlike states subjects to decoherence caused by a dissipative interaction with a large environment. Depending on different parameters of the deformation, we reveal that the nonclassical properties of catlike states under dissipative interaction can be more retarded and preserved in the time.

Noncommutative deformed cat states under decoherence

K. Berrada, Hichem Eleuch

This work has been motivated through the paper [42] by S. Dey on the nonclassical properties of the deformed harmonic oscillators. We study the dynamics of the nonclassical properties and nonlocal correlation for deformed coherent states superposition (DCSS) subjects to decoherence effect due to a dissipative interaction in deformed spaces. We consider two types of deformations, $q$ deformation that describes a large class of deformed harmonic oscillators and $L$ deformation that enters in the real possibilities of trapped ion systems. We find that such a kind of superposition, that gives rise to a richer phase space structure, the nonclassicality, squeezing, and entanglement can survive and they are robust against decoherence. The present results show that DCSS have less optical noise under dissipative dynamics in comparison with the usual Schr\"odinger cat states and may open new perspectives for the experimental observation of macro realism in quantum mechanics.

Deformed Weyl–Heisenberg algebra and quantum decoherence effect

Sh. Dehdashti, M. Bagheri Harouni, Ali Mahdifar +1 more

We study the dynamics of a catlike superposition of f-deformed coherent states under dissipative decoherence. For this purpose, we investigate two important categories of f-deformed coherent states: Gazeau–Klauder and displacement-type coherent states. In addition, we consider two deformation functions; one of them describes a harmonic oscillator in an infinite well and another corresponds to a harmonic oscillator in a quantum well with finite depth. The decoherence effects appeared through a dissipative interaction of the environment with the catlike states. In this study, we first show that the Gazeau–Klauder coherent state is more resistant under the decoherence process, in contrast to the displacement-type one, and second, that the potential range of the infinite well and the depth of potential possess a remarkable role in the decoherence process.

Decoherence of $q-$Deformed Photon Added Coherent State

Amit Das, Sobhan Sounda

In this study, we explore the behavior of photon added coherent states in a deformed harmonic oscillator subjected to dissipative decoherence. We use $q-$deformation as our nonlinear function to model our system. By adjusting the deformation parameter, we show that $q-$deformed photon added coherent state (DPACS) exhibit greater nonclassicality and resilience to decoherence compared to those of a standard harmonic oscillator. Additionally, we investigate the nonclassical properties and entanglement of DPACS under decoherence induced by interaction with a dissipative photon-loss environment.

Structure of generalized Heisenberg algebras and quantum decoherence analysis

Evaldo M. F. Curado, M. A. Rego-Monteiro, Ligia M. C. S. Rodrigues

We study how catlike superpositions of generalized Heisenberg algebras (GHA) nonlinear coherent states behave under dissipative decoherence. Two cases are presented: the infinite square well potential and systems whose spectra, given by infinite strictly increasing sequences of nonnegative real numbers, can be considered perturbations of the harmonic oscillator. The decoherence effect caused by the interaction of these systems with a thermal bath is analyzed: from their fidelity behavior we see that a region always exists in the parameter space where the quantum coherence is better preserved as compared to the harmonic oscillator. Moreover, we show that the qualitative behavior of GHA systems under the studied mechanism of decoherence can be inferred from the algebraic structure via the analysis of their GHA characteristic functions.

Multi Quanta Relaxation and Nonclassicality of Nonlinear Oscillators

Aurora Voje

The focus of the study is the free quantum evolution of Duffing oscillators which are nonlinearly coupled to bosonic environments. The work evolves from a particular system of an undamped, nonlinear graphene resonator mode to a more generalized framework of oscillator modes interacting with two different configurations of bosonic environments. In a model with no dissipation, the nonlinear Duffing oscillator allows an initial coherent state to evolve into a macroscopic superposition state, a Schrödinger Cat state. By further subjecting a Duffing mode to nonlinear damping, the parity conservation due to the two-quanta system-bath exchange, brings the system to a nonclassical steady state - an equilibrium state very much different from the ground state. The quantum features of this state are analysed for temperatures above zero and in a more realistic scenario where the interplay of linear and nonlinear decay is taken into account. The scope of the study is then extended to bipartite systems of nonlinear interacting oscillators, each nonlinearly coupled to a bosonic environment. The generation of entanglement in initially separable states and entanglement's asymptotic behaviour are investigated. One of the outcomes is the Duffing nonlinearity not affecting the entanglement asymptote. Therefore, finally a bipartite system of harmonic oscillators, with nonlinear system-bath coupling is initiated with entangled, squeezed states, and the asymptotic behaviour is evaluated in the parameter space of temperature, squeezing and dissipation rate. This is done for common and individual reservoir configurations, and either zero or non-zero inter-mode coupling.

On the deformed cat state: Generating scheme via amplitude dispersion and the analysis of nonclassical features

Hicham Amellal, Abdelmajid Meslouhi, Y. Hassouni

In this paper, we propose a simple scheme for generating a deformed cat state based on a dissipative amplitude interaction between an anharmonic oscillator and a special modified bosonic group. The nonclassical properties of the superposition result exhibit an interesting behavior depending on the input parameters. Finally, we discuss some prominent possibilities in creating a generalized Bell state, resulting from an approximate displacement operator under a beam splitter interaction.
