Correlation function with the insertion of zero modes of modular Hamiltonians

Abstract

Abstract Zero modes of modular Hamiltonian of one interval are found in momentum space for two dimensional massless free scalar theory. Finite correlators are extracted from separate region connected correlation functions with the insertion of zero modes. Correlators of (n, 1)-type are claimed to be conformal block up to a set of theory dependent constants. We fix the correlators of (2, 1)-type with the coefficients of three point function in 2d CFTs.

Correlation function of modular Hamiltonians

Jiang Long

Abstract We investigate varies correlation functions of modular Hamiltonians defined with respect to spatial regions in quantum field theory. These correlation functions are divergent in general. We extract finite correlators by removing divergent terms for two dimensional massless free scalar theory. We reproduce the same correlators in general two dimensional conformal field theories.

Twist operator correlators and isomonodromic tau functions from modular Hamiltonians

Hewei Frederic Jia

We introduce a novel approach for computing the twist operator correlators (TOC) in two-dimensional conformal field theories (2d CFT) and the closely related isomonodromic tau functions. The method stems from the formal path integral representation of the ground state reduced density matrix in 2d CFT, and exploits properties of the associated modular Hamiltonians. For a class of genus-zero TOC/tau functions associated with branched covers with non-abelian monodromy group, we present: i) a determinantal representation derived from the correlation matrix method for free fermions, and ii) a formal integral representation derived from the universal single-interval modular Hamiltonians. For the class of genus-zero TOC/tau functions, we also argue an approximate factorization property, utilizing the known ground state correlation structure of large-$c$ holographic CFT and the universality of genus-zero TOCs. We provide explicit examples for verifying the determinantal representation and the approximate factorization property.

Logarithmic behaviour of connected correlation function in CFT

Long Jiang

We study $(m)$-type connected correlation functions of OPE blocks with respect to one spatial region in two dimensional conformal field theory. We find logarithmic divergence for these correlation functions. We justify the logarithmic behaviour from three different approaches: massless free scalar theory, Selberg integral and conformal block. Cutoff independent coefficients are obtained from analytic continuation of conformal blocks. A UV/IR relation has been found in connected correlation functions. We could derive a formal ``first law of thermodynamics'' for a subsystem using deformed reduced density matrix. Area law of connected correlation function in higher dimensions is also discussed briefly.

Non-relativistic conformal field theory in momentum space

R. K. Gupta, Meenu

Abstract Non-relativistic conformal field theory describes many-body physics at unitarity. The correlation functions of the system are fixed by the requirement of the conformal invariance. In this article, we discuss the correlation functions of scalar operators in non-relativistic conformal field theories in momentum space. We discuss the solution of conformal Ward identities and express 2,3, and 4-point functions as a function of energy and momentum. We also express the 3- and 4-point functions as the one-loop and three-loop Feynman diagram computations in the momentum space. Lastly, we generalize the discussion to the momentum space correlation functions in the presence of a boundary.

On 2d CFTs that interpolate between minimal models

Sylvain Ribault

We investigate exactly solvable two-dimensional conformal field theories that exist at generic values of the central charge, and that interpolate between A-series or D-series minimal models. When the central charge becomes rational, correlation functions of these CFTs may tend to correlation functions of minimal models, or diverge, or have finite limits which can be logarithmic. These results are based on analytic relations between four-point structure constants and residues of conformal blocks.
