Abstract

The two-mode even and odd coherent states and two-mode squeezed correlated state are discussed. Photon distribution functions, means, dispersions, Fano factor for even and odd coherent states and squeezed correlated state are calculated. The photon distribution function for two-mode squeezed correlated state is obtained. The tomograms of two-mode even and odd coherent states and squeezed correlated states are investigated within the framework of a sympletic tomography scheme. It is shown that the phenomenon of entanglement appears in the system. Two different measures of entanglement are employed.

Quantum properties of a superposition of squeezed displaced two-mode vacuum and single-photon states

Faisal A. A. El-Orany, A.‐S. F. Obada, Zafer M. Asker +1 more

In this paper, we study some quantum properties of a superposition of displaced squeezed two-mode vacuum and single-photon states, such as the second-order correlation function, the Cauchy-Schwartz inequality, quadrature squeezing, quasiprobability distribution functions and purity. This type of states includes two mechanisms, namely, interference in phase space and entanglement. We show that these states can exhibit sub-Piossonian statistics, squeezing and deviate from the classical Cauchy-Schwartz inequality. Moreover, the amount of entanglement in the system can be increased by increasing the squeezing mechanism. In the framework of the quasiprobability distribution functions we show that the single-mode state can tend to thermal state based on the correlation mechanism. Generation scheme for such states is given.

Entanglement of Two-Mode Squeezed Even and Odd Coherent States

Wei Wu, Zhong-Ju Liu, Jing Zhang

The two-mode squeezed even and odd coherent states are quantum states with some non-classical properties. The entanglement of two-mode squeezed even and odd coherent states are measured by non-classicality of P-function and separability inequalities of EPR-operators.

Quantum Properties of Two-Mode Squeezed Even and Odd Coherent States

Jing Zhang, Wei Wu, Meng Shao-ying

Two new types of quantum states are constructed by applying the operator s (ξ) = exp (ξ* ab −ξ a † b † ) on the two-mode even and odd coherent states. The mathematical and quantum statistical properties of such states are investigated. Various nonclassical features of these states, such as squeezing properties, the inter-mode photon bunching, and the violation of Cauchy–Schwarz inequality, are discussed. The Wigner function in these states are studied in detail.

Photon statistics of multimode even and odd coherent light

Nadeem A. Ansari, Vladimir I. Man’ko

The even and odd coherent states are generalized for the multimode case. The explicit forms for the photon distribution, Q function, and Wigner function are derived. In particular, it is shown that for the two-mode case there exist strong correlations between these modes, under certain conditions, which are responsible for two-mode squeezing in the case of even coherent states.

Non-classical properties and entanglement of two-mode nonlinear semi-coherent states

Azam Anbaraki, Davood Afshar

Abstract Two-mode nonlinear semi-coherent states and their even and odd superpositions are defined. Their non-classical properties, including photon statistics and squeezing, are then evaluated. We use the Mandel parameter and the second-order coherence function to study sub-Poissonian photon statistics and the photon antibunching effect. By calculating the variance of two-mode quadrature operators, we evaluate the squeezing effect for the introduced states. Next, we examine entanglement using concurrence. We have found that all states display non-classical properties within certain ranges of the parameters involved. The calculation of concurrence demonstrates that all states are entangled within specific ranges of parameters.
