Abstract

We propose an effective scheme for realizing a long-range quantum state phase-covariant cloning between two qubits in fiber-nanocavity system via an adiabatic passage. Since no cavity (fiber) photons or excited levels of the nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center are populated during the whole process, the scheme is immune to the decay of cavity (fiber) and spontaneous emission of the NV center. The strictly numerical simulation shows that the fidelity is high even in the presence of realistic imperfections.

Multi-atom entanglement engineering and phase-covariant cloning via adiabatic passage

Shi‐Biao Zheng

A scheme is proposed for the generation of entangled states for multiple atoms trapped in an optical cavity via adiabatic passage. In the scheme, both the atomic system and the cavity have no probability of being excited. Thus both the atomic spontaneous emission and the cavity decay are suppressed, which makes our scheme very robust against decoherence. Taking advantage of the adiabatic process, the scheme does not require accurate adjustment of the interaction time. Furthermore, the scheme is scalable in principle. The idea can also be used for realizing phase-covariant cloning.

Scheme for implementing the optimal quantum cloning via long-range off-resonant Raman coupling

Jing-Ji Wen, Kyu-Hwang Yeon, Hong‐Fu Wang +1 more

We propose a physical scheme to implement the optimal 1 → 2 quantum cloning via long-range off-resonant Raman coupling for distant atoms trapped in separate cavities connected by optical fibers. We show that, if the single-qubit rotation angles are choosen appropriately, the optimal symmetric (asymmetric) universal quantum cloning and optimal symmetric (asymmetric) phase-covariant cloning can be effectively realized. The scheme is insensitive to cavity decay, fiber loss, and atomic spontaneous emission because the effective long-distance interaction induced by long-range off-resonant Raman coupling is mediated by the vacuum fields of the fiber and cavity and because the total system evolves in the decoherence-free subspace in which neither of the subsystems is excited.

Quantum state transfer between distant nodes of a quantum network via adiabatic passage

Yan‐Li Zhou, Yimin Wang, Long-Long Liang +1 more

A scheme is presented to realize transfer of a three-dimensional quantum state between two atoms trapped in distant cavities connected by an optical fiber, whose mode is resonant with the polarization cavity modes. Performing an adiabatic passage along dark states, the fiber mode remains in the vacuum state and the population of the cavities being excited can be negligible under certain conditions. In addition, atomic transitions in our scheme are largely detuned from cavity modes. As a consequence, the atomic spontaneous emission and the fiber decay can be effectively eliminated. Furthermore, we give some discussions about the fidelity of our scheme.

Implementation of Phase-covariant Quantum Cloning with Superconducting Quantum-interference Devices in Cavity QED

Yi-Zhuang Zheng

We propose two schemes for realizing 1→2 economical phase-covariant quantum cloning with superconducting quantum-interference devices(SQUID) in cavity QED.In our schemes, the SQUIDs with three levels act with a quantized cavity field and classical microwave pluses via Raman transition. On the condition of large detuning, the excited state would be eliminated adiabaticly.During the whole operation, the cavity field is in the vacuum state at all times,so there is no transfer of quantum information between the SQUIDs and cavity, thus the cavity decay is largely suppressed.By using this method,we can realize the phase-covariant quantum cloning by four steps.

Implementing ancilla-free phase covariant quantum cloning with atoms trapped in cavities

Li Ai

We propose a scheme to implement ancilla-free 1 to 2 optimal phase covariant quantum cloning with atoms trapped in cavities. In the scheme the W-class state of three atoms, which are individually trapped in three spatially separated cavities,is deterministically generated. Then by the use of this W-class state and detection of the atomic state,an optimal ancilla-free 1 to 2 phase-covariant quantum cloning between two spatially separated trapped atoms can be realized. The scheme is robust for atomic spontaneous decay, cavity decay and photon leakage out of the fiber. In principle,an M+1-atom W-class state can be generated by using such an approach. Thus this scheme also can be generalized to implement 1 to M ancilla-free phase-covariant quantum cloning.
