Abstract

We find a single parameter family of genuinely entangled three-qubit pure states, called the maximally Bell-inequality violating states (MBV), which exhibit maximum Bell-inequality violation by the reduced bipartite system for a fixed amount of genuine tripartite entanglement quantified by the so-called tangle measure. This in turn implies that there holds a complementary relation between the Bell-inequality violation by the reduced bipartite systems and the tangle present in the three-qubit states, not necessarily pure. The MBV states also exhibit maximum Bell-inequality violation by the reduced bipartite systems of the three-qubit pure states with a fixed amount of genuine tripartite correlation quantified by the generalized geometric measure, a genuine entanglement measure of multiparty pure states, and the discord monogamy score, a multipartite quantum correlation measure from information-theoretic paradigm. The aforementioned complementary relation has also been established for three-qubit pure states for the generalized geometric measure and the discord monogamy score, respectively. The complementarity between the Bell-inequality violation by the reduced bipartite systems and the genuine tripartite correlation suggests that the Bell-inequality violation in the reduced two-qubit system comes at the cost of the total tripartite correlation present in the entire system.

Complementary relation between tripartite entanglement and the maximum steering inequality violation

Tian-Ze Dai, Yi Fan, Liang Qiu

We investigate the relation between tripartite entanglement of the three-qubit system and the maximum steering inequality violation of the reduced two-qubit states. Firstly, it is found that a single parameter family of entangled three-qubit pure states have the maximum steering inequality violation among all of the three-qubit pure states for a fixed amount of tripartite entanglement. The tripartite entanglement is quantified by the genuinely multipartite concurrence, generalized geometric measure, and tangle. Subsequently, the complementary relation between tripartite entanglement and the maximum steering inequality violation for an arbitrary three-qubit pure state can be established. Particularly, the result also holds for three-qubit mixed states if the entanglement measure is tangle. The complementary relations indicate that the maximum steering inequality violation of the reduced two-qubit system is at the expense of tripartite entanglement.

Distribution of Bell-inequality violation versus multiparty-quantum-correlation measures

Kunal Sharma, Tamoghna Das, Aditi Sen +1 more

Violation of a Bell inequality guarantees the existence of quantum correlations in a shared quantum state. A pure bipartite quantum state, having nonvanishing quantum correlation, always violates a Bell inequality. Such correspondence is absent for multipartite pure quantum states in the case of multipartite correlation function Bell inequalities with two settings at each site. We establish a connection between the monogamy of Bell-inequality violation and multiparty quantum correlations for shared multisite quantum states. We believe that the relation is generic, as it is true for a number of different multisite measures that are defined from radically different perspectives. Precisely, we quantify the multisite-quantum-correlation content in the states by generalized geometric measure, a genuine multisite entanglement measure, as well as three monogamy-based multiparty-quantum-correlation measures, viz., 3-tangle, quantum-discord score, and quantum-work-deficit score. We find that generalized Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states and another single-parameter family of states, which we refer to as the special Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states, have the status of extremal states in such relations.

Complementary relations of entanglement, coherence, steering, and Bell nonlocality inequality violation in three-qubit states

Dong-Dong Dong, Xue‐Ke Song, Xiao‐Gang Fan +2 more

We put forward complementary relations of entanglement, coherence, steering inequality violation, and Bell nonlocality for arbitrary three-qubit states. We show that two families of genuinely entangled three-qubit pure states with a single parameter exist, and they exhibit maximum coherence and steering inequality violation for a fixed amount of negativity, respectively. It is found that the negativity is exactly equal to the geometric mean of bipartite concurrences for the three-qubit pure states, although the negativity is always less than or equal to the latter for three-qubit mixed states. Moreover, the complementary relation between negativity and first-order coherence for tripartite entanglement states is established. Furthermore, we investigate the close relation between the negativity and the maximum steering inequality violation. In addition, the complementary relation between negativity and the maximum Bell-inequality violation for arbitrary three-qubit states is obtained. The results provide reliable evidence of fundamental connections among entanglement, coherence, steering inequality violation, and Bell nonlocality.

Characterization of tripartite quantum states with vanishing monogamy score

Manabendra Nath Bera, R. Prabhu, Aditi Sen +1 more

Quantum discord, an information-theoretic quantum correlation measure, can satisfy as well as violate monogamy for three-party quantum states. We quantify the feature using the concept of discord monogamy score. We find a necessary condition of a vanishing discord monogamy score for arbitrary three-party states. A necessary and sufficient condition is obtained for pure states. We prove that the class of states having a vanishing discord monogamy score cannot have arbitrarily high genuine multipartite entanglement, as quantified by generalized geometric measure. In the special case of three-qubit pure states, their classification with respect to the discord monogamy score reveals a rich structure that is different from that which had been obtained by using the monogamy score corresponding to the entanglement measure called concurrence. We investigate properties like genuine multipartite entanglement and violation of the multipartite Bell inequality for these states.

Maximally-dense-coding-capable quantum states

Rabindra Nepal, R. Prabhu, Aditi Sen +1 more

A complementarity relation is established between the capacity of multiport classical information transmission via quantum states and multiparty quantum correlation measures for three-qubit pure states. The multiparty quantum correlation measures considered are the generalized geometric measure, the tangle, and the discord monogamy score. The complementarity relation is revealed by the identification of a one-parameter family of pure three-qubit states, which we call the maximally-dense-coding-capable quantum states. These states have the maximal multiport dense coding capacity among all three-qubit pure states with an arbitrary fixed amount of the multiparty quantum correlations.

Lower bounds on the violation of the monogamy inequality for quantum correlation measures

Asutosh Kumar, Himadri Shekhar Dhar

In multiparty quantum systems, the monogamy inequality proposes an upper bound on the distribution of bipartite quantum correlation between a single party and each of the remaining parties in the system, in terms of the amount of quantum correlation shared by that party with the rest of the system taken as a whole. However, it is well known that not all quantum correlation measures universally satisfy the monogamy inequality. In this work, we aim at determining the nontrivial value by which the monogamy inequality can be violated by a quantum correlation measure. Using an information-theoretic complementarity relation between the normalized purity and quantum correlation in any given multiparty state, we obtain a nontrivial lower bound on the negative monogamy score for the quantum correlation measure. In particular, for the three-qubit states the lower bound is equal to the negative von Neumann entropy of the single qubit reduced density matrix. We analytically examine the tightness of the derived lower bound for certain $n$-qubit quantum states. Further, we report numerical results of the same for monogamy violating correlation measures using Haar uniformly generated three-qubit states.
