Beam splitter and entanglement created with the squeezed coherent states of the Morse potential

Abstract

The Morse potential is relatively closed to the harmonic oscillator quantum system. Thus, following the idea used for the latter, we study the possibility of creating entanglement using squeezed coherent states of the Morse potential as an input field of a beam splitter. We measure the entanglement with the linear entropy for two types of such states and we study the dependence with the coherence and squeezing parameters. The new results are linked with observations made on probability densities and uncertainty relations of those states. The dynamical evolution of the linear entropy is also explored.

Squeezed coherent states and the Morse quantum system

Maia N Angelova, Véronique Hussin

The Morse potential quantum system is a realistic model for studying vibrations of atoms in a diatomic molecule. This system is very close to the harmonic oscillator one. We thus propose a construction of squeezed coherent states similar to the one of harmonic oscillator using ladder operators. Properties of these states are analysed with respect to the localization in position, minimal Heisenberg uncertainty relation, the statistical properties and illustrated with examples using the finite number of states in a well-known diatomic molecule.

Morse-like squeezed coherent states and some of their properties

O de los Santos-Sánchez, J. Récamier

Using the f-deformed oscillator formalism, we introduce a class of squeezed coherent states for a Morse potential system (Morse-like squeezed coherent states) defined as approximate eigenstates of a linear combination of f-deformed ladder operators. For the states thus constructed, we analyze their statistical properties, their uncertainty relations, their Wigner function and their temporal evolution on phase space.

Bipartite and tripartite entanglement of truncated harmonic oscillator coherent states via beam splitters

Mohammed Daoud A, Ahmed Jellal, El Bouâzzaoui Choubabi +1 more

We introduce a special class of truncated Weyl–Heisenberg algebra and discuss the corresponding Hilbertian and analytical representations. Subsequently, we study the effect of a quantum network of beam splitting on coherent states of this nonlinear class of harmonic oscillators. We particularly focus on quantum networks involving one and two beam splitters and examine the degree of bipartite as well as tripartite entanglement using the linear entropy.

Entanglement generation from deformed spin coherent states using a beam splitter

K. Berrada, M. El Baz, Farhan Saif +2 more

Using the linear entropy as a measure of entanglement, we investigate the effect of a beam splitter on the Perelomov coherent states for the q-deformed Uq(su(2)) algebra. We distinguish two cases: in the classical q → 1 limit, we find that the states become Glauber coherent states as the spin tends to infinity; whereas for q ≠ 1, the states, contrary to the earlier case, become entangled as they pass through a beam splitter. The entanglement strongly depends on the q-deformation parameter and the amplitude Z of the state.
