Relativistic BCS-BEC Crossover at Quark Level

Longfei He, S. Mao, Pengfei Zhuang

The non-relativistic G0G formalism of BCS-BEC crossover at finite temperature is extended to relativistic fermion systems. The theory recovers the BCS mean field approximation at zero temperature and the non-relativistic results in a proper limit. For massive fermions, when the coupling strength increases, there exist two crossovers from the weak coupling BCS superfluid to the non-relativistic BEC state and then to the relativistic BEC state. For color superconductivity at moderate baryon density, the matter is in the BCS-BEC crossover region, and the behavior of the pseudogap is quite similar to that found in high temperature superconductors.

Equivalence between a bosonic theory and a massive non-local Thirring model at Finite Temperature

M. V. Manías, Marta L. Trobo

Using the path-integral bosonization procedure at Finite Temperature we study the equivalence between a massive Thirring model with non-local interaction between currents (NLMT) and a non-local extension of the sine-Gordon theory (NLSG). To this end we make a perturbative expansion in the mass parameter of the NLMT model and in the cosine term of the NLSG theory in order to obtain explicit expressions for the corresponding partition functions. We conclude that for certain relationship between NLMT and NLSG potentials both the fermionic and bosonic expansions are equal term by term. This result constitutes a generalization of Coleman's equivalence at T=0, when considering a Thirring model with bilocal potentials in the interaction term at Finite Temperature. The study of this model is relevant in connection with the physics of strongly correlated systems in one spatial dimension. Indeed, in the language of many-body non-relativistic systems, the relativistic mass term can be shown to represent the introduction of backward-scattering effects.

The non-relativistic and relativistic quantum theory with temperature

In this paper, we have proposed the non-Hermitian theory of quantum thermodynamics, and given the quantum thermodynamics equations, including non-relativistic and relativistic quantum theory with temperature, i.e., the temperature-dependent schrodinger equation, Dirac equation and photon equation. We give the solution of wave function and energy level with temperature, and introduced the temperature constant T0, which should be determined by the atom or molecule spectrum experiments.
