Abstract

We present a quantum probabilistic encryption algorithm of private-key encryption scheme based on conjugate coding of qubit-string. Usually, probabilistic encryption algorithm is adopted in public-key encryption protocols. Here we consider its function of increasing the unicity distance of both classical and quantum private-key encryption scheme. The security of quantum probabilistic private-key encryption against two kinds of attacks is analyzed. Based on no-signalling postulate we show that the scheme can resist the attack to the key. The protocol's security against plaintext attack is also investigated under the concept of information-theoretic indistinguishability of encryption. Finally, we give a conjecture related with the Breidbart's attack.

We present a quantum probabilistic encryption algorithm for a private-key encryption scheme based on conjugate coding of the qubit string. A probabilistic encryption algorithm is generally adopted in public-key encryption protocols. Here we consider the way it increases the unicity distance of both classical and quantum private-key encryption schemes. The security of quantum probabilistic private-key encryption schemes against two kinds of attacks is analyzed. By using the no-signalling postulate, we show that the scheme can resist attack to the key. The scheme's security against plaintext attack is also investigated by considering the information-theoretic indistinguishability of the encryption scheme. Finally, we make a conjecture regarding Breidbart's attack.

Quantum Public-Key Encryption Schemes Based on Conjugate Coding

Li Yang, Biyao Yang, Chong Xiang

We present several quantum public-key encryption (QPKE) protocols designed with conjugate coding single-photon string, thus may be realized in laboratory with nowadays techniques. Two of these schemes are orienting one-bit message, and are extended to two kinds of QPKE schemes orienting multi-bits. The novel structure of these protocols ensures they are information-theoretically secure with, probably, a bound greater than any given polynomial of $n$. Finally, we describe a way to conceal the classical part of the public key with quantum state, this idea is expected to enhance a scheme to be information-theoretically secure.

Quantum public key encryption scheme with four states key

Zhixin Liu, Qiaoling Xie, Yongfu Zha +1 more

Abstract Asymmetric encryption has some important applications in the field of communication. In classical computers, most public key encryption schemes are designed based on computational assumption. In other words, they can ensure computational security. When the computing power is large enough, it will pose a threat to these encryption schemes. We propose a quantum public key encryption scheme which based on properties of quantum physics. Our scheme realizes encryption and decryption with few resources and does not rely on any computational assumption. The key in our scheme consists of classical bits and qubits. Where the private key are classical bit and public key are qubits. The public key are generated through private key. We analyze the performance and security of the scheme. Our scheme ensures the information-theoretic secure and can be implemented easily.

Quantum public-key algorithms to encrypt and authenticate quantum messages with information-theoretic security

Min Liang, Li Yang

Public-key cryptosystems for quantum messages are considered from two aspects: public-key encryption and public-key authentication. Firstly, we propose a general construction of quantum public-key encryption scheme, and then construct an information-theoretic secure instance. Then, we propose a quantum public-key authentication scheme, which can protect the integrity of quantum messages. This scheme can both encrypt and authenticate quantum messages. It is information-theoretic secure with regard to encryption, and the success probability of tampering decreases exponentially with the security parameter with regard to authentication. Compared with classical public-key cryptosystems, one private-key in our schemes corresponds to an exponential number of public-keys, and every quantum public-key used by the sender is an unknown quantum state to the sender.

Bit-oriented quantum public-key encryption

Chenmiao Wu, Li Yang

We propose a bit-oriented quantum public-key scheme which uses Boolean function as private-key and randomly changed pairs of quantum state and classical string as public-keys. Contrast to the typical classical public-key scheme, one private-key in our scheme corresponds to an exponential number of public-keys. The goal of our scheme is to achieve information-theoretic security, and the security analysis is also given.

Quantum unicity distance

Chong Xiang, Li Yang

We attempt to develop Shannon's concept of the unicity distance into the quantum context. Based on the definition of information-theoretic security for quantum cryptography, we present a quantum probabilistic encryption algorithm with bounded information-theoretic security, and then work out its quantum unicity distances. The result shows that quantum unicity distance is much bigger than the unicity distance of classical cryptography.
