Dissipative dynamics of a spin system with three-body interaction

Abstract

In this paper, we explicitly solve the Lindblad equation for a system of three spins with a three-body interaction, coupled to the environment by bath operators that inject or absorb spin carriers. We exemplify the properties of this solution in the context of a simple instance of Feynman's quantum computer in which a two-qubit program line is executed, applying the primitive to a one-qubit register.

Quantum dynamics of a three-spin-qubit system

Van Hop Nguyen

Abstract The quantum dynamics of a system of three interacting identical spin-qubits with the XY Heisenberg exchange interaction between two nearest-neighbour spin-qubits is studied in the Markovian approximation with respect to the interaction between this system and the environment. A Lindblad formula with two physical mechanisms of the decoherence is used. Two different cases are considered simultaneously: three spin-qubits interact with three district baths of excitations or with one and the same common bath of excitations. The systems of rate equations are solved in the first-order approximation with respect to the small constants of decoherence.

Dynamical evolution of the two-qubit system with Ising spin-chain environment

Qi Han, Huan Wang, Rong Zhang +2 more

In this article, we study the evolution of the two-qubit system with Ising spin-chain environment by choosing the Lindblad equation to describe this process. First, we expand the Hamiltonian of a two-qubit system with its eigenstates and give the Lindblad equation for the evolution of the two-qubit system with Ising spin-chain as the environment. Compared with directly calculating the differential equation between elements of density matrix, we choose a method to solve the Lindblad equation with a smaller calculation dimension. Finally, by constructing an operator solution with operators, we obtain the dynamics of the two-qubit system with Ising spin-chain environment.

Dissipative dynamics in a quantum register

Paolo Zanardi A

A model for a quantum register dissipatively coupled with a bosonic thermal bath is studied. The register consists of $N$ quantum bits (qubits) the bath is described by ${N}_{b}$ bosonic modes. The register-bath coupling is chosen in such a way that the total number of excitations is conserved. The Hilbert space splits, allowing the study of the dynamics separately in each sector. Assuming that the coupling with the bath is the same for all qubits, the excitation sectors have a further decomposition according the irreducible representations of the su(2) spin algebra. The stability against environment-generated noise of the information encoded in a quantum state of the register depends on its SU(2) symmetry content. At zero temperature we find that states belonging to the vacuum symmetry sector have, for long time, vanishing fidelity, whereas each lowest spin vector is decoupled from the bath and therefore is decoherence free. Numerical results are shown in the one-excitation space in the case of qubit-dependent bath-system coupling.

Entanglement dynamic of arbitrary number qubit in the open quantum systems

Zahra Bakhshi, E. Morsheddoost, Zeynali, A.

We study the entanglement dynamics of multi-qubit systems coupled to a common dissipative environment, focusing on systems with one or two initially excited qubits. Using the Lindblad master equation, we derive the time evolution of the density matrix and analyze the entanglement between qubit pairs via the concurrence measure. The solution method involves applying the Lindblad super-operator to the initial density matrix, generating a subspace of non-duplicate states. We extend our analysis to $n$-qubit systems, including three-qubit and four-qubit configurations, and explore the effects of thermal noise on entanglement dynamics. Our results demonstrate how initial conditions, system size, and environmental interactions shape entanglement, providing valuable insights for quantum information processing applications.

Relaxation, thermalization, and Markovian dynamics of two spins coupled to a spin bath

Hans A. De Raedt, Fengping Jin, Mikhail I. Katsnelson +1 more

It is shown that by fitting a Markovian quantum master equation to the numerical solution of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation of a system of two spin-1/2 particles interacting with a bath of up to 34 spin-1/2 particles, the former can describe the dynamics of the two-spin system rather well. The fitting procedure that yields this Markovian quantum master equation accounts for all non-Markovian effects in as much the general structure of this equation allows and yields a description that is incompatible with the Lindblad equation.

Solution of the Lindblad equation for spin helix states

Vladislav Popkov, Gunter Markus Schutz

Using Lindblad dynamics we study quantum spin systems with dissipative boundary dynamics that generate a stationary nonequilibrium state with a nonvanishing spin current that is locally conserved except at the boundaries. We demonstrate that with suitably chosen boundary target states one can solve the many-body Lindblad equation exactly in any dimension. As solution we obtain pure states at any finite value of the dissipation strength and any system size. They are characterized by a helical stationary magnetization profile and a ballistic spin current which is independent of system size, even when the quantum spin system is not integrable. These results are derived in explicit form for the one-dimensional spin-1/2 Heisenberg chain and its higher-spin generalizations, which include the integrable spin-1 Zamolodchikov-Fateev model and the biquadratic Heisenberg chain.
