Abstract

We examine quantum statistics of optical photons emitted from atomic ensembles which are classically driven and simultaneously coupled to a two-level atom via microwave photon exchange. Quantum statistics and correlations are analyzed by calculating second-order coherence degree, von Neumann entropy, spin squeezing for multiparticle entanglement, as well as genuine two- and three-mode entanglement parameters for steady-state and nonequilibrium situations. Coherent transfer of population between the radiation modes and quantum-state mapping between the two-level atom and the optical modes are discussed. A potential experimental realization of the theoretical results in a superconducting coplanar waveguide resonator containing diamond crystals with nitrogen-vacancy color centers and a superconducting artificial two-level atom is discussed.

Spin squeezing, entanglement, and coherence in two driven, dissipative, nonlinear cavities coupled with single- and two-photon exchange

Ali Ü. C. Hardal, Özgür Esat Müstecaplıoğlu

We investigate spin squeezing, quantum entanglement, and second-order coherence in two coupled, driven, dissipative, nonlinear cavities. We compare these quantum statistical properties for the cavities coupled with either single- or two-photon exchange. Solving the quantum optical master equation of the system numerically in the steady state, we calculate the zero-time delay second-order correlation function for the coherent, genuine two-mode entanglement parameters, an optimal spin squeezing inequality associated with particle entanglement, concurrence, quantum entropy, and logarithmic negativity. We identify regimes of distinct quantum statistical character depending on the relative strength of photon exchange and nonlinearity. Moreover, we examine the effects of weak and strong drives on these quantum statistical regimes.

Spontaneously induced atom–radiation entanglement in an ensemble of trapped two-level atoms

Sintayehu Tesfa

Analysis of the effects of the spontaneously induced correlation on atom–radiation entanglement in an ensemble of two-level atoms initially prepared in the upper energy level and then trapped in a cavity containing a source of a squeezed radiation employing the method of evaluating the coherent-state propagator is presented. It is found that the cavity radiation exhibits squeezing which is directly attributed to the squeezed radiation initially present in the cavity. The intensity of the cavity radiation increases with the squeeze parameter and interaction time. It is also shown that a substantial degree of entanglement between the atomic state and radiation mode exits at a particular time which depends on the coupling constant and squeeze parameter. It is understood that although the squeezed radiation is directly accountable for the cavity squeezing, it significantly destroys the atom–radiation entanglement induced by the correlation between spontaneously emitted radiation and the atoms.

Effect of decoherence on the radiative and squeezing properties in a coherently driven trapped two-level atom

Sintayehu Tesfa

Analysis of the effects of decoherence on the radiative and squeezing properties of a coherently driven two-level atom trapped in a resonant cavity applying the corresponding master equation is presented. The atomic dynamics as well as the squeezing and statistical properties of the emitted radiation are investigated. It is found that the atom stays in the lower energy level more often at steady state irrespective of the strength of the coherent radiation and thermal fluctuations entering the cavity. Moreover, a strong external coherent radiation results in the splitting of the line of the emission spectrum, whereas the decoherence broadens the width and significantly decreases the height. It is also found that the emitted radiation exhibits photon anti-bunching, super-Poissonian photon statistics and squeezing, despite the presence of the decoherence which is expected to destroy the quantum features.

Multiparticle entanglement via resonant interaction between light and atomic ensembles

В. Н. Горбачев, Andrew I. Trubilko

Multiparticle entangled states generated via interaction between narrowband light and an ensemble of identical two-level atoms are considered. Depending on the initial photon statistics, correlation between atoms and photons can give rise to entangled states of these systems. It is found that the state of any pair of atoms interacting with weak single-mode squeezed light is inseparable and robust against decay. Optical schemes for preparing entangled states of atomic ensembles by projective measurement are described.

Some entanglement aspects of two-two level atoms interacting with three modes of electromagnetic fields in finite trio coherent state

Ali S.I, T Emam, T Salah

AIM: The aim of  this contribution, was to investigate the interaction of two two-level atoms with three-modes of radiation field in finite trio coherent state. The field-field and the atom-field interaction are taken into account. Methods: In this paper, We obtained an exact solution of the wave function in the Schrodinger picture by using some canonical transformation. Which used to study some entanglement phonomena. Results: Some statistical aspects to describe the system Hamiltonian are calculated. The temporal evolution of the atomic inversion, the entropy squeezing, variance squeezing and scaled atomic Wehrl entropy phenomena are discussed. Discussion: This paper concludes that the  entanglement degree measure (EDM) between subsystem are investigated for cosiderable system. The results shown that all these phenomena are controlled of entanglement degree by trio finite state parameters and photon number operators.
