Abstract

A family of probability distributions attached to a class of generalized weighted Bergman spaces on the Poincaré disk are introduced by constructing a kind of generalized coherent states. Their main statistical parameters are obtained explicitly. As application, photon number statistics related to coherent states under consideration are discussed.

Wright-type Generalized Coherent States

Roberto Garra, Filippo Giraldi, Francesco Mainardi

In this paper we construct a new generalization of coherent states based on the application of Wright functions. This explicit family of coherent states is based on the generalization of the classical coherent states by using a positive weight function. We analyze in detail by means of the Mandel parameter, the deviations from the conventional coherent states due to this generalization that leads to sub- or super-Poissonian behaviour. We also discuss the connection between generalized coherent states and weighted Poisson distributions. Finally, we briefly show the relation between the normalizing function here used and the solution of a fractional differential equation with variable coefficients.

Coherent states attached to Landau levels on the Poincaré disc

Zouhaı̈r Mouayn

We construct a family of generalized coherent states attached to Landau levels of a charged particle moving in the Poincaré disc under a perpendicular uniform magnetic field. The corresponding coherent state transforms enable us to connect, by an integral transform, spaces of bound states of the particle with the space of square integrable functions on the real line. The established connection provides us with a new way to obtain hyperbolic Landau states.

Generalized Hypergeometric Coherent States

Appl, T, Schiller, D H

We introduce a large class of holomorphic quantum states by choosing their normalization functions to be given by generalized hypergeometric functions. We call them generalized hypergeometric states in general, and generalized hypergeometric coherent states in particular, if they allow a resolution of unity. Depending on the domain of convergence of the generalized hypergeometric functions, we distinguish generalized hypergeometric states on the plane, the open unit disk, and the unit circle. All states are eigenstates of suitably defined lowering operators. We then study their photon number statistics and phase properties as revealed by the Husimi and Pegg-Barnett phase distributions. On the basis of the generalized hypergeometric coherent states we introduce generalized hypergeometric Husimi distributions and corresponding phase distributions as well as new analytic representations of arbitrary quantum states in Bargmann and Hardy spaces.

Generalized photon-added coherent state and its quantum statistical properties

Yuan Hong-Chun, Xue-xiang Xu, Fan Hong‐Yi

In this paper, we propose a class of the generalized photon-added coherent states (GPACSs) obtained by repeatedly operating the combination of Bosonic creation and annihilation operatoes on the coherent state. The normalization factor of GPACS is related to Hermite polynomial. We also derive the explicit expressions of its statistical properties such as photocount distribution, Wigner function and tomogram and investigate their behaviour as the photon-added number varies graphically. It is found that GPACS is a kind of nonclassical state since Wigner function exhibits the negativity by increasing the photon-added number.
