Abstract

In this paper, we propose a class of the generalized photon-added coherent states (GPACSs) obtained by repeatedly operating the combination of Bosonic creation and annihilation operatoes on the coherent state. The normalization factor of GPACS is related to Hermite polynomial. We also derive the explicit expressions of its statistical properties such as photocount distribution, Wigner function and tomogram and investigate their behaviour as the photon-added number varies graphically. It is found that GPACS is a kind of nonclassical state since Wigner function exhibits the negativity by increasing the photon-added number.

Non-Gaussianity and decoherence of generalized photon-added coherent state as a Hermite-excited coherent state

Heng-Mei Li, Xuefen Xu

Generalized photon-added coherent state (GPACS) is obtained by repeatedly acting the combination of Bose creation and annihilation operations on the coherent state. It is found that GPACS can be regarded as a Hermite-excited coherent state due to its normalization factor related to a Hermite polynomial. In addition, we adopt the Hilbert—Schmidt distance to quantify the non-Gaussian character of GPACS and discuss the decoherence of GPACS in dissipative channel by studying the loss of nonclassicality in reference of the negativity of Wigner function.

PHOTON-NUMBER DISTRIBUTION AND WIGNER FUNCTION OF GENERALIZED PHOTON-MODULATED COHERENT STATE

Jun Zhou, Shuai Wang, Jun Song +1 more

In this paper, we present the generalized photon-modulated coherent state (GPMCS) generated by repeatedly operating the combination of Bosonic creation and annihilation operators on the coherent state. It is found that the GPMCS is a Hermite-excited coherent state and its normalization factor is related to single-variable Hermite polynomials. Furthermore, some significant quantum statistical properties of the GPMCS are investigated, such as photon-number distribution (PND) and the Wigner function (WF). We find that the WF of the GPMCS has negative values when the generalized photon-modulation exists, which implies the nonclassical properties of the GPMCS.

A new type of photon-added squeezed coherent state and its statistical properties

Jun Zhou, Hong-Yi Fan, Song Jun

We construct a new type of photon-added squeezed coherent state generated by repeatedly operating the bosonic creation operator on a new type of squeezed coherent state [Fan H Y and Xiao M 1996 Phys. Lett . A 220 81 ]. We find that its normalization factor is related to single-variable Hermite polynomials. Furthermore, we investigate its statistical properties, such as Mandel's Q parameter, photon-number distribution, and Wigner function. The nonclassicality is displayed in terms of the intense oscillation of photon-number distribution and the negativity of the Wigner function.

Nonclassicality of Any Number Photon Added-then-subtractedand Subtracted-then-added Coherent States

廖小鸽 LIAO Xiao-ge, 张浩亮 ZHANG Hao-liang, 胡利云 HU Li-yun

We study the nonclassical properties of arbitrary number photon creation-then-annihilation operation(CA) and annihilation-then-creation operation(AC) to the coherent states, and give the analytical expression.Because of the noncoummutativity of between annihilation operator and the creation operator, the states generated by AC operation and CA operation have different nonclassical properties. We firstly derive the analytical expressions of normalization factor for these states, and then study the statistics characteristics by some nonclassical properties, such as the Mandel Q parameters, the photon number distribution and the Wigner function. It is shown that these states have a very distinct nonclassical properties, and the nonclassical state generated by AC operation can present more clear nonclassicality than those generated by the CA operation.

Statistical properties of a generalized photon-modulated thermal state

Xue-xiang Xu, Hong‐Chun Yuan, Liyun Hu +1 more

In this paper, we introduce a new kind of quantum state, generalized photon-modulated thermal states (GPMTS), which are obtained by repeatedly acting the superposed operation (a coherent superposition of photon subtraction and addition) on the thermal state. It is found that the normalization factor of GPMTS is a Legendre polynomial. Moreover, we present the analytical expressions of several quasi-probability distributions for GPMTS and calculate the corresponding tomogram and photocount distribution as well.
