Strong superadditivity and monogamy of the Rényi measure of entanglement

Abstract

Employing the quantum R\'enyi $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ entropies as a measure of entanglement, we numerically find the violation of the strong superadditivity inequality for a system composed of four qubits and $\ensuremath{\alpha}>1$. This violation gets smaller as $\ensuremath{\alpha}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}1$ and vanishes for $\ensuremath{\alpha}=1$ when the measure corresponds to the entanglement of formation. We show that the R\'enyi measure aways satisfies the standard monogamy of entanglement for $\ensuremath{\alpha}=2$, and only violates a high-order monogamy inequality, in the rare cases in which the strong superadditivity is also violated. The sates numerically found where the violation occurs have special symmetries where both inequalities are equivalent. We also show that every measure satisfying monogamy for high-dimensional systems also satisfies the strong superadditivity inequality. For the case of R\'enyi measure, we provide strong numerical evidences that these two properties are equivalent.

Strong monogamy conjecture in a four-qubit system

Sumana Karmakar, Ajoy Sen, Amit Bhar +1 more

Monogamy is a defining feature of entanglement, having far-reaching applications. Recently, Regula et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 113, 110501 (2014)] proposed a stronger version of monogamy relation for concurrence. We have extended the strong monogamy inequality for another entanglement measure, viz., negativity. In particular, we have concentrated on the four-qubit system and provided a detailed study on the status of strong monogamy on pure states. Further, we have analytically provided some classes of states for which negativity and squared negativity satisfy strong monogamy. Numerical evidences have also been shown in proper places. Our analysis also provides cases where strong monogamy is violated.

General monogamy relation of multiqubit systems in terms of squared Rényi- α entanglement

Wei Song, Yan-Kui Bai, Mou Yang +2 more

We prove that the squared R\'enyi-$\ensuremath{\alpha}$ entanglement ($\mathrm{SR}\ensuremath{\alpha}\mathrm{E}$), which is the generalization of entanglement of formation, obeys a general monogamy inequality in an arbitrary $N$-qubit mixed state. Furthermore, for a class of R\'enyi-$\ensuremath{\alpha}$ entanglement, we prove that the monogamy relations of the $\mathrm{SR}\ensuremath{\alpha}\mathrm{E}$ have a hierarchical structure when the $N$-qubit system is divided into $k$ parties. As a by-product, the analytical relation between the R\'enyi-$\ensuremath{\alpha}$ entanglement and the squared concurrence is derived for bipartite $2\ensuremath{\bigotimes}d$ systems. Based on the monogamy properties of $\mathrm{SR}\ensuremath{\alpha}\mathrm{E}$, we can construct the corresponding multipartite entanglement indicators, which still work well even when the indicators based on the squared concurrence and EOF lose their efficacy. In addition, the monogamy property of the $\ensuremath{\mu}\mathrm{th}$ power of R\'enyi-$\ensuremath{\alpha}$ entanglement is analyzed.

Monogamy of multi-qubit entanglement using Rényi entropy

Jeong San Kim, Barry C. Sanders

We introduce a class of bipartite entanglement measures based on Rényi-α entropy, namely Rényi-α entanglement with an analytic formula in two-qubit systems for α ⩾ 1. We also show that multi-qubit entanglement has a monogamy inequality in terms of Rényi-α entanglement for all α ⩾ 2.

General monogamy of Tsallis q -entropy entanglement in multiqubit systems

In this paper, we study the monogamy inequality of Tsallis $q$-entropy entanglement. We first provide an analytic formula of Tsallis $q$-entropy entanglement in two-qubit systems for $\frac{5\ensuremath{-}\sqrt{13}}{2}\ensuremath{\le}q\ensuremath{\le}\frac{5+\sqrt{13}}{2}.$ The analytic formula of Tsallis $q$-entropy entanglement in $2\ensuremath{\bigotimes}d$ system is also obtained and we show that Tsallis $q$-entropy entanglement satisfies a set of hierarchical monogamy equalities. Furthermore, we prove the squared Tsallis $q$-entropy entanglement follows a general inequality in the qubit systems. Based on the monogamy relations, a set of multipartite entanglement indicators is constructed, which can detect all genuine multiqubit entangled states even in the case of $N$-tangle vanishes. Moreover, we study some examples in multipartite higher-dimensional system for the monogamy inequalities.

Monogamy and polygamy relations of multiqubit entanglement based on unified entropy*

Zhi‐Xiang Jin, Cong‐Feng Qiao

Monogamy relation is one of the essential properties of quantum entanglement, which characterizes the distribution of entanglement in a multipartite system. By virtual of the unified-(q,s) entropy, we obtain some novel monogamy and polygamy inequalities in general class of entanglement measures. For the multiqubit system, a class of tighter monogamy relations are established in term of the α-th power of unified-(q,s) entanglement for α ≥ 1. We also obtain a class of tighter polygamy relations in the β-th (0 ≤ β ≤ 1) power of unified-(q,s) entanglement of assistance. Applying these results to specific quantum correlations, e.g., entanglement of formation, Renyi-q entanglement of assistance, and Tsallis-q entanglement of assistance, we obtain the corresponding monogamy and polygamy relations. Typical examples are presented for illustration. Furthermore, the complementary monogamy and polygamy relations are investigated for the α-th (0 ≤ α ≤ 1) and β-th (β ≥ 1) powers of unified entropy, respectively, and the corresponding monogamy and polygamy inequalities are obtained.

Tighter monogamy relations of entanglement measures based on fidelity

Meiming Zhang, Naihuan Jing

Abstract We study the Bures measure of entanglement and the geometric measure of entanglement as special cases of entanglement measures based on fidelity, and find their tighter monogamy inequalities over tri-qubit systems as well as multi-qubit systems. Furthermore, we derive the monogamy inequality of concurrence for qudit quantum systems by projecting higher-dimensional states to qubit substates.
