Entanglement and Applications of Pure Fourpartite of Qubit States

Abstract

In this work we study the entanglement of pure fourpartite of qubit states. The analysis is realized through the comparison between two different entanglement measures: the Groverian entanglement measure and the residual entanglement measured with negativities. Furthemore, we discuss some applications of four-way entangled fourpartite states.

Groverian entanglement measure of pure quantum states with arbitrary partitions

Yishai Shimoni, Ofer Biham

The Groverian entanglement measure of pure quantum states of $n$ qubits is generalized to the case in which the qubits are divided into any $p\ensuremath{\leqslant}n$ parties. The entanglement between these parties is evaluated numerically using an efficient parametrization. To demonstrate this measure we apply it to symmetric states such as the Greenberg-Horne-Zeiliner state and the W state. Interestingly, this measure is equivalent to an entanglement measure introduced earlier [H. Barnum and N. Linden, J. Phys. A 34, 6787 (2001)], using different considerations.

Groverian measure of entanglement for mixed states

Daniel Shapira, Yishai Shimoni, Ofer Biham

The Groverian entanglement measure, introduced earlier for pure quantum states of multiple qubits [O. Biham, M.A. Nielsen, and T. Osborne, Phys. Rev. A 65, 062312 (2002)], is generalized to the case of mixed states. The Groverian measure of a mixed state of $n$ qubits is obtained by a purification procedure into a pure state of $2n$ qubits, followed by an optimization process, before the resulting state is fed into Grover's search algorithm. It is expressed in terms of the maximal success probability of the algorithm and in this sense provides an operational measure of entanglement.

Classification and quantification of qubit and qutrit multipartite pure state entanglement

Guoying Lu, Pan Feng, (1)辽宁师范大学物理系,大连 116029; (2)辽宁师范大学物理系,大连 116029;辽宁大学物理系,沈阳 110036

Classification and quantification of bipartite qubit, tripartite qubit, and bipartite qutrit entanglement are studied in detail based on the entanglement measure of multipartite pure states. The results show that different ways of pure state entanglement can be characterized by extremal values of the corresponding entanglement measure under the stochastic local operation and classical communication(SLOCC). Detailed analysis shows that there are three different kinds of entanglement under the SLOCC in both tripartite qubit and bipartite qutrit pure state systems. Comparison of the measure with the recently proposed entropy-product measure is made and briefly discussed.

Multipartite quantum correlation and entanglement in four-qubit pure states

Yan-Kui Bai, Dong Yang, Z. D. Wang

Based on the quantitative complementarity relations, we analyze thoroughly the properties of multipartite quantum correlation and entanglement in four-qubit pure states. It is found that, unlike the three-qubit case, the single residual correlation and the genuine correlations of three and four qubits are unable to quantify entanglement appropriately. More interestingly, from our qualitative and numerical analysis, it is conjectured that the sum of all residual correlations is a good quantity for characterizing the multipartite entanglement in the system.

Extremal Entangled Four-Qubit Pure States with Respect to Multiple Entropy Measures

Four-qubit entanglement has been investigated using a recent proposed entanglement measure, multiple entropy measures (MEMS). We have performed optimization for the nine different families of states of four-qubit system. Some extremal entangled states have been found.

Four qubit entangled pure States and K-way negativities

Naresh Kumar Sharma, S. Shelly Sharma, B. G. Sidharth +4 more

It is known that by Stochastic local operations and classical communication (SLOCC) a pure state of four qubits can be transformed to a state belonging to one of a set of nine families of states. Using the eigen vectors corresponding to negative eigenvalues of global partial transpose and the K‐way partial transposes, we construct measures of genuine four‐partite, tri‐partite, and bi‐partite entanglement for all the nine families of states.
