Abstract

Mutual information and swap operation in the two-qubit Heisenberg model with the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) anisotropic antisymmetric interaction are investigated. It is found that the mutual information I of such a quantum channel is sensitive to the initial conditions and declines with increase in temperature. The DM interaction can lead to higher mutual information, especially for the ferromagnetic case. The entanglement quality of input states cannot enhance the mutual information of the quantum channel. When the DM interaction is large, the mutual information will have the maximum value of 2 for a non-entangled input state, but it is 1 for a maximally entangled input state. It is also shown that the swap operation can be implemented for some kinds of DM coupling. The conditions of the DM coupling under which the swap operation is feasible are established.

THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT DZYALOSHINSKII–MORIYA INTERACTIONS ON TELEPORTATION VIA A TWO-QUBIT HEISENBERG CHAIN

Tao Chen, Chuan-Jia Shan, Yanxia Huang +2 more

Thermal entanglement of a two-qubit Heisenberg XXZ chain in the presence of different Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) anisotropic antisymmetric interactions and entanglement teleportation using two independent Heisenberg chains as quantum channel are investigated. It is found that the anisotropic coupling coefficient Jz (z-component exchange constant) and DM interactions can excite the entanglement, and x-component DM interaction Dx has a more remarkable influence than the z-axis DM interaction Dz for exchange constant J > 0 (antiferromagnetic) case, which is contrary to coupling coefficient J < 0 (ferromagnetic) case. The output entanglement and fidelity increase with increasing z-axis coupling parameter Jz for both the antiferromagnetic J > 0 case and ferromagnetic J < 0 case. By introducing the different DM interactions, it is superior to teleportate initial state by using the Dz interaction in the model for J > 0 case. But for J < 0 case, the Dx interaction is better, and the output concurrence and fidelity can reach the maximum value 1 with suitable Dx.

Thermal entanglement and teleportation in a two-qubit Heisenberg chain with Dzyaloshinski-Moriya anisotropic antisymmetric interaction

Guo‐Feng Zhang

Thermal entanglement of a two-qubit Heisenberg chain in the presence of the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya (DM) anisotropic antisymmetric interaction and entanglement teleportation when using two independent Heisenberg chains as the quantum channel are investigated. It is found that the DM interaction can excite entanglement and teleportation fidelity. The output entanglement increases linearly with increasing value of the input; its dependences on the temperature, DM interaction, and spin coupling constant are given in detail. Entanglement teleportation will be better realized via an antiferromagnetic spin chain when the DM interaction is turned off and the temperature is low. However, the introduction of the DM interaction can cause the ferromagnetic spin chain to be a better quantum channel for teleportation. A minimal entanglement of the thermal state in the model is needed to realize the entanglement teleportation regardless of whether the spin chains are antiferromagnetic or ferromagnetic.

Two Qubit Entanglement in Magnetic Chains with DM Antisymmetric Anisotropic Exchange Interaction

Zeynep Nilhan Gürkan, Oktay K. Pashaev

In the present paper an influence of the anisotropic antisymmetric exchange interaction, the Dzialoshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction, on entanglement of two qubits in various magnetic spin models, including the pure DM model and the most general XYZ model are studied. We find that the time evolution generated by DM interaction can implement the SWAP gate and discuss realistic quasi-one-dimensional magnets where it can be realized. It is shown that inclusion of the DM interaction to any Heisenberg model creates, when it does not exist, or strengthens, when it exists, the entanglement. We give physical explanation of these results by studying the ground state of the systems at T=0. Nonanalytic dependence of the concurrence on the DM interaction and its relation with quantum phase transition is indicated. Our results show that spin models with the DM coupling have some potential applications in quantum computations and the DM interaction could be an efficient control parameter of entanglement.

Effects of anisotropy on optimal dense coding

Guo-Feng Zhang

Optimal dense coding with thermal entangled states of a two-qubit anisotropic XXZ model and a Heisenberg model with Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) interactions is studied in this paper. The DM interaction is another kind of anisotropic antisymmetric exchange interaction. The effects of these two kinds of anisotropies on dense coding are studied in detail for both the antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic cases. For the two models, I give the conditions that the parameters of the models have to satisfy for a valid dense coding. I also found that even though there is entanglement, it is unavailable for our optimal dense coding, which is the same as entanglement teleportation.

Effect of Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya anisotropic antisymmetric interaction on optimal dense coding

Liang Qiu, An Min Wang, Xiao Qiang Su +1 more

We study optimal dense coding in the two-qubit and two-qutrit Heisenberg XXX models with Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya anisotropic antisymmetric interaction (DM interaction). Both the DM interaction and the coupling parameter can enhance the maximum dense coding capacity for high temperature. For low temperature, in the two-qutrit system, the coupling parameter still enhances the maximum dense coding capacity, while the DM interaction weakens the capacity of the channel for dense coding.
