Abstract

We investigate the relation between multilinear mappings and multipartite states. We show that the isomorphism between multilinear mapping and tensor product completely characterizes decomposable multipartite states in a mathematically well-defined manner.

Linear Transformations between Multipartite Quantum Systems That Map the Set of Tensor Product of Idempotent Matrices into Idempotent Matrix Set

Jinli Xu, Baodong Zheng, Hongmei Yao

Let H n be the set of n × n complex Hermitian matrices and 𝒫 n (resp., 𝒯 n ) be the set of all idempotent (resp., tripotent) matrices in H n . In l -partite quantum system H m 1 T m l = ⊗ 1 l H m i , ⊗ 1 l 𝒫 m i (resp., ⊗ 1 l 𝒯 m i ) denotes the set of all decomposable elements ⊗ 1 l A i such that A i ∈ 𝒫 m i (resp., A i ∈ 𝒯 m

Positive tensor products of maps and n -tensor-stable positive qubit maps

Sergey N. Filippov, Kamil Yu. Magadov

Abstract We analyze positivity of a tensor product of two linear qubit maps, Φ 1 ⊗ Φ 2 . Positivity of maps Φ 1 and Φ 2 is a necessary but not a sufficient condition for positivity of Φ 1 ⊗ Φ 2 . We find a non-trivial sufficient condition for positivity of the tensor product map beyond the cases when both Φ 1 and Φ 2 are completely positive or completely co-positive. We find necessary and (separately) sufficient conditions for n -tensor-stable positive qubit maps, i.e. such qubit maps Φ that Φ ⊗ n is positive. Particular cases of 2- and 3-tensor-stable positive qubit maps are fully characterized, and the decomposability of 2-tensor-stable positive qubit maps is discussed. The case of non-unital maps is reduced to the case of appropriate unital maps. Finally, n -tensor-stable positive maps are used in characterization of multipartite entanglement, namely, in the entanglement depth detection.

NEW APPROACH FOR FINDING MULTIPARTITE ENTANGLED STATE REPRESENTATIONS VIA THE IWOP TECHNIQUE

Hong-Yi Fan, Shuguang Liu

We present a new approach to finding multipartite entangled state representation by decomposing normally ordered Gaussian-form operator in completeness relation, the technique of integration within an ordered product (IWOP) of operators is essential in this searching.
