By participating in this challenge of the hackathon, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Prohibition of Off-Label Drug Use
The hackathon sponsor strictly prohibits any attempts to promote, encourage, or engage in off-label use of prescription drugs. Off-label use refers to the use of a drug for purposes, in populations, or at dosages not approved by regulatory authorities.
Liability Disclaimer
The hackathon sponsor expressly disclaims all liability for any consequences resulting from the off-label use of prescription drugs. Participants are hereby notified that:
- The sponsor does not endorse or support any off-label use of prescription medications.
- Any use of prescription drugs without proper medical advice and supervision is strictly prohibited.
- The sponsor bears no responsibility for any adverse effects, injuries, or damages arising from the unauthorized or improper use of prescription medications.
Participant Responsibility
As a participant, you agree to:
- Refrain from promoting, suggesting, or engaging in any off-label use of prescription drugs during the hackathon.
- Consult a qualified healthcare professional before using any prescription medication.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the use of prescription drugs.
By continuing to participate in this hackathon, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by this disclaimer. Any violation may result in immediate disqualification from the event.

Registration
- Acceptance of these terms INCLUDING THE ADDITIONAL LEGAL DISCLAIMER ABOVE is required for participation.
- You can choose to solve the challenge either individually or with your team (teams are limited to a maximum of 8 members).
- If you’re working in a team, please designate one contact person to submit your final solution and to communicate with the challenge organizers.
Submission Guidelines
- To submit your solution, ensure you have accepted the Terms & Conditions.
- Submissions must be original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- The submission deadline is November 30, 2024 (AOE).
- Submissions must include a report of a maximum of 10 pages, including all the tables, figures, and references, along with a link to a private GitHub repository of the code used.

Prizes
If the team produces novel and significant modelling insights, Merck will consider a publication grant in a relevant journal, Winners will have the opportunity to showcase their work to a global audience and potentially collaborate with Merck Healthcare to develop their solutions further and/or write a joint publication (conditional, pending compliance review).
Privacy
- Information collected from participants will be handled according to Aqora's privacy policy, exclusively for competition-related purposes.
