Qiskit Fall Fest 2025 – Paris-Saclay
Overview
The Quantum Finance Frontier (QFF 2025) is the official hackathon of the Qiskit Fall Fest 2025 – Paris-Saclay Edition, organized by Mila, Quandela, and Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF). This 24-hour challenge invites participants to design quantum or hybrid algorithms tackling real-world problems in financial modeling.
Entirely online, QFF 2025 begins on November 21 and runs continuously for 24 hours. Instead of a live presentation, teams will submit a 3–5-minute recorded video explaining their approach and results. The event concludes with public highlights and recognition of outstanding solutions.
Event Context
QFF 2025 is part of Quantum Week at Université Paris-Saclay, following workshops, lectures, and talks by experts from IBM Quantum, RIKEN, CNRS Singapore, Entropica Labs, Riverlane, Haiqu, C12, Planqc, Unitary Foundation, and Alice & Bob. The hackathon officially kicks off on Friday, November 21, immediately after the Fall Fest schedule’s industry talks.
Participation
- Duration: 24 hours, 100% online
- Team size: 1–5 members
- Eligibility: Open to students, researchers, and professionals of all backgrounds
- Tools: Qiskit, Quandela’s Perceval platform, and open datasets
Participants will receive guidance from mentors throughout the event and will explore both quantum random-walk and machine-learning-based approaches for financial applications.
