Comment on ``Cyclic quantum-evolution dependence on the Hamiltonian and geometric phase''

Ali Mostafazadeh

Published Jun 1, 1997• 4 citations

Abstract

It is shown that the analysis and the main result of the article by L-A. Wu [Phys. Rev. A 53, 2053 (1996)] are completely erroneous.

Reply to “Comment on ‘Cyclic quantum-evolution dependence on the Hamiltonian and geometrical phase’ ”

Lian-Ao Wu

I reply to the Comment [A. Mostafazadeh, Phys. Rev. A 55, 4640 (1997)] on my paper in Phys. Rev. A 53, 2053 (1996). In particular, there is nothing in the Comment except the final paragraph, which points out my two sick sentences in English. I give a simple example to explain my original meaning of the two sick English sentences and try to correct them.

Comment on Geometric phases for mixed states during cyclic evolutions

Erik Sjöqvist

It is shown that a recently suggested concept of mixed state geometric phase in cyclic evolutions (Fu L-B and Chen J-L 2004 J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 37 3699 ) is gauge dependent.

Reply to Comment on Geometric phases for mixed states during cyclic evolutions

L-B Fu, J-L Chen

We show that the geometric phase for mixed state during a cyclic evolution suggested in 2004 J. Phys. A 37 3699 is U(1) invariant and can be observed by nowaday techniques.

Comment on ``Time-dependent quasi-Hermitian Hamiltonians and the unitary quantum evolution''

Mostafazadeh, Ali

In arXiv:0710.5653v1 M. Znojil claims that he has found and corrected an error in my paper: [Phys. Lett. B \textbf{650}, 208 (2007), arXiv:0706.1872v2] and that it is possible to escape its main conclusion, namely that the unitarity of the time-evolution and observability of the Hamiltonian imply time-independence of the metric operator. In this note I give a very short calculation showing that the analysis given by M. Znojil also leads to the same conclusion as of my above-mentioned paper. This is actually a reconfirmation of the validity of the results of the latter paper.
