Abstract

Quantum entanglement, like othre resources, is now coonsidered to be a resource which can be produced, concentrated if required, transported and consumed. After its inception [1] in 1933, various schemes of quantum state teleportation have been proposed using different types of channels. Not restricting to qubit based systems, qutrit states and channels have also been of considerable interest. In the present paper we investigate the teleportation of an unknown single qutrit state as well as two qutrit state through a three qutrit quantum channel along with the required operations to recover the state. This is further generalized to the case of teleportation of n-qutrit system.

PERFECT TELEPORTATION OF UNKNOWN QUDIT BY A d-LEVEL GHZ CHANNEL

Yinxiang Long, Daowen Qiu, Dongyang Long

In the past decades, various schemes of teleportation of quantum states through different types of quantum channels (a prior shared entangled state between the sender and the receiver), e.g. EPR pairs, generalized Bell states, qubit GHZ states, standard W states and its variations, genuine multiqubit entanglement states, etc., have been developed. Recently, three-qutrit quantum states and two-qudit quantum states have also been considered as quantum channels for teleportation. In this paper, we investigate the teleportation of an unknown qudit using a d level GHZ state, i.e. a three-qudit maximally entangled state, as quantum channel. We design a general scheme of faithful teleportation of an unknown qudit using a d-level GHZ state shared between the sender and the receiver, or among the sender, the receiver and the controller; an unknown two-qudit of Schmidt form using a d level GHZ state shared between the sender and the receiver; as well as an unknown arbitrary two-qudit using two shared d level GHZ states between the sender, the receiver and the controller, or using one shared d level GHZ state and one shared generalized Bell state. We obtain the general formulas of Alice's measurement basis, Charlie's measurement basis and Bob's unitary operations to recover the input state of Alice. It is intuitionistic to generalize the protocols of teleporting an arbitrary two-qudit state to teleporting an arbitrary n-qudit state.

Short-distance quantum teleportation scheme for arbitrary unknown three-dimensional two-qutrit states

Jiayin PENG, Miao Liu, Jiangang Tang +1 more

A new scheme for short-distance quantum teleportation of an arbitrary unknown three-dimensional two-qutrit state is proposed, utilizing a three-dimensional Bell-state and a ground-state auxiliary qutrit as quantum channel. In this scheme, both the sender and receiver are required to pre-share an auxiliary qutrit in addition to sharing the three-dimensional Bell state. The sender performs joint measurements on their Bell qutrit and the unknown quantum system after performing quantum gate operations on the auxiliary qutrit, and sends the classical information of the measurement results to the receiver. Based on the measurement results, the receiver converts, with 100% probability, the quantum state of his/her own Bell qutrit and auxiliary qutrit into an exact replica of the unknown quantum state initially altered by the sender. This scheme exhibits advantages such as a short transmission distance, high information capacity, reduced consumption of entanglement resources, and promising applications in quantum teleportation for solid-state devices, such as on-chip implementations.

Hybrid Teleportation between Qutrit and Qubit

Wen-Qiang Yang, Liusheng Huang, Lu Li

Previous quantum teleportation schemes mainly focus on teleporting the unknown state via entanglement state with the same dimension. In this paper, we study the problem of hybrid teleportation. We present a protocol for faithful teleport ation of an unknown qutrit state using a special kind of four-qubit entanglement state. The construction of the special four-qubit entanglement state is described and the number of the qubits consumed in the protocol is shown to be minimal.

QUANTUM CHANNELS OF THE QUTRIT STATE TELEPORTATION

Xiu-Lao Tian, Guo-Fang Shi, Yong Chi Zhao

Qudit quantum system can carry more information than that of qubit, the teleportation of qudit state has significance in quantum information task. We propose a method to teleport a general qutrit state (three-level state) and discuss the necessary and sufficient condition for realizing a successful and perfect teleportation, which is determined by the measurement matrix Tα and the quantum channel parameter matrix (CPM) X. By using this method, we study the channels of two-qutrit state and three-qutrit state teleportation.

Teleporting an unknown qutrit state via a 2-qudit entangled channel

Xiao-Xu Li, Feng-Li Yan, Ting Gao

We propose a quantum teleportation scheme for transmitting a single qutrit state by adopting a 2-qudit entangled state as the quantum channel. The measurement basis for Alice has been carefully and systematically constructed, which is essential for the successful implementation of the teleportation protocol. Based on Alice's measurement outcomes, we design the corresponding collective unitary transformations to be performed by Bob on an auxiliary qubit and information particle. After implementing the collective unitary transformation, Bob performs a von Neumann measurement on the auxiliary qubit. The single qutrit state is then teleported to the distant receiver Bob with a finite success probability. We obtain the achievable success probabilities of the proposed teleportation scheme for different quantum channels. The obtained results not only enrich the theory of quantum teleportation over high-dimensional entangled channels but also provide a novel and feasible approach to implementing qutrit teleportation.
