An important property of entanglement: pairwise entanglement that can only be transferred by an entangled pair

Abstract

Basing on the calculation of all the pairwise entanglement in the $n$ ($n \leq 6$)-qubit Heisenberg XX open chain with system impurity, we find an important result: pairwise entanglement can only be transferred through entangled pair. The non-nearest pairwise entanglement will has the possibility to exist as long as there has even number qubit in their middle. This point means that we can get longer distance entanglement in solid system.

PAIRWISE ENTANGLEMENT WITH SPIN IMPURITY

Xiao-yan Dong, Shiqun Zhu, Xiang Hao

The zero-temperature pairwise entanglement is investigated in the antiferromagnetic Heisenberg chain with one impure spin s. The impurity location is varied from the open end to a mediate site of the spin chain. It is found that the pairwise entanglement is proportional to 1/s. This means that the entanglement will disappear in the classical systems as s → ∞. Compared to the isotropic Heisenberg chain without impurity, the efficient control of the spin coupling between the impurity spin and nearest-neighbor spins can enhance the pairwise entanglement.

Impurity in Pairwise Entanglement of Heisenberg XX Open Chain

Xiao-Qiang Xi, Chen Wen-xue, Qi Liu +1 more

We calculate the concurrence of all pairwise entanglement of Heisenberg XX open chain with single system impurity in three-qubit and four-qubit cases, and find that the impurity parameter J i has great effect on pairwise entanglement. Choosing the proper parameter J i , we can obtain the maximal pairwise entanglement of the nearest qubits and make the non-nearest qubits entangle.

Genuine N -partite entanglement without N -partite correlation functions

Minh C. Tran, Margherita Zuppardo, Anna de Rosier +4 more

A generalized and thorough investigation of entanglement without correlations is presented. The study sheds light on the different properties of systems composed of an even or odd number of qubits, and might help to construct computable measures of multipartite correlation.

The entanglement between the boundary qubits in the five-qubit Heisenberg XX open chain

Xiao-Qiang Xi, Chen Wen-xue, Qi Liu +2 more

Heisenberg XX open chain is very important in the study of quantum state transition. In this paper, we calculate the entanglement between the boundary qubits in the five-qubit Heisenberg XX open chain. When introducing magnetic impurity and system impurity and they satisfy linear relation, the system can be solved exactly, and there exist entanglement between the boundary qubits. Choosing the magnetic and system impurity properly, the boundary entanglement can get the maximal value 0.5.
