A Density Matrix Approach Towards Quantum Computing

Vandana Arora, Jagneet Kaur Anand

In this article, the authors start with a discussion of various quantum states and their associated density matrices. The evaluation of the density matrices for pure, mixed, and entangled states is done elaborately. The concept of the trace of the density matrices is then explored and its relation with the purity of any state is discussed. The mathematical process of diagonalization of a matrix is studied for pure, mixed, and entangled states.

Duality quantum computing

Steven Anatolievich Duplij, Raimund Vogl

We reformulate the duality computer concept from thorough mathematical viewpoint, using the bra/ket formalism. We interpret the main objects divider and combiner, as some analogs of polyadic coproduct and polyadic product. The construction of a duality computer is presented in our new interpretation based on analogy with a convolution product in polyadic Hopf algebra theory. The higher generalization of duality computer based on polyadic powers is proposed. The corresponding simulation procedure of duality computer on the ordinary quantum computer is given using the introduced polyadic generalization.

The Theory of Duality

Bengy Tsz Tsun Wong

Dualism is a metaphysical, philosophical concept which refers to two irreducible, heterogeneous principles. This idea is known to appear in a lot of places in the universe, however a rigorous mathematical definition and is not yet established in a formal way. In this paper, we develop a novel to represent philosophical dualism in a formal mathematical construction with the context of quantum physics, known as the theory of duality. We will use traditional Chinese philosophical concepts in duality as the foundation as it greatly resembles to the mathematical and physical construction for our purpose. This paper will demonstrate how to convolve metaphysical idea into mathematics and physics.
