Quantum games of asymmetric information

Jiangfeng Du, Hui Li, Chenyong Ju

We investigate quantum games in which the information is asymmetrically distributed among the players and find that the possibility of the quantum game outperforming its classical counterpart depends strongly on not only the entanglement but also the informational asymmetry. What is more interesting, when the information distribution is asymmetric, is that the contradictive impact of the quantum entanglement on the profits is observed, which is not reported in quantum games of symmetric information.

Simulation of continuous variable quantum games without entanglement

Shang-Bin Li

A simulation scheme of quantum version of Cournot's duopoly is proposed, in which there is a new Nash equilibrium that may also be Pareto optimal without any entanglement involved. The unique property of this simulation scheme is decoherence-free against the symmetric photon loss. Furthermore, we analyze the effects of the asymmetric information on this simulation scheme and investigate the case of asymmetric game caused by asymmetric photon loss. A second-order phase transition-like behavior of the average profits of firms 1 and 2 in a Nash equilibrium can be observed with the change of the degree of asymmetry of the information or the degree of ‘virtual cooperation’. It is also found that asymmetric photon loss in this simulation scheme plays a similar role as that with the asymmetric entangled states in the quantum game.

Hawk-dove Game Model of Quantum under Asymmetric Information

Wang Mi-lin

In this paper, using the theory of Quantum game established a quantum model of the hawk-dove game under asymmetric information, find the quantum Nash equilibrium strategy with different values of entanglement. And comparison with the classical game theory. In conditions of the classic game,we come to several equilibrium strategies which associated with conflict costs. In conditions of the quantum game, when the entanglement is equal to we draw a only Nash equilibrium strategy which unrelated with conflict costs.Classical game equilibrium strategy is a special case of quantum, where the entanglement is equal to zero.So this promotes the Nash equilibrium strategy of hawk-dove game, also greatly simplifies the operation.
