Abstract

In this paper, we present a method to construct full separability criterion for tripartite systems of qubits. The spirit of our approach is that a tripartite pure state can be regarded as a three-order tensor that provides an intuitionistic mathematical formulation for the full separability of pure states. We extend the definition to mixed states and give out the corresponding full separability criterion. As applications, we discuss the separability of several bound entangled states, which shows that our criterion is feasible.

Separability criterion based on direct tensor product factorization

M. Flores, Eric A. Galapon

We derive a separability criterion via direct tensor factorization of a pure bipartite state. We also propose how this separability criterion could be extended to be applicable to arbitrary N-qubit pure states and later on to include mixed states.

Separability from Multipartite Measures

Chen-Te Ma, Ma-Ke Yuan

We show that multi-invariants provide necessary and sufficient criteria for full separability in finite-dimensional multipartite systems. For tripartite three-qubit states, the third-order negativity gives an exact criterion for full separability for both pure and mixed states. We then extend the framework to four-qubit pure states, whose full characterization requires eighteen independent real parameters. We identify eighteen independent entanglement measures, consisting of six bipartite, eight tripartite, and four quadripartite measures, with the third-order negativity serving as a key separability criterion. Finally, we generalize the construction to multipartite qudit systems and discuss an application to conformal field theory.

Existence Criterion of Genuine Tripartite Entanglement

Chang-shui Yu He-shan Song

In this paper, an intuitive mathematical formulation is provided to generalize the residual entanglement for tripartite systems of qubits (Phys. Rev. A \textbf{61}, 052306 (2000)) to the tripartite systems in higher dimension. The spirit lies in the tensor treatment of tripartite pure states (Phys. Rev. A \textbf{72}, 022333 (2005)). A distinct characteristic of the present generalization is that the formulation for higher dimensional systems is invariant under permutation of the subsystems, hence is employed as a criterion to test the existence of genuine tripartite entanglement. Furthermore, the formulation for pure states can be conveniently extended to the case of mixed states by utilizing the kronecker product approximate technique. As applications, we give the analytic approximation of the criterion for weakly mixed tripartite quantum states and consider the existence of genuine tripartite entanglement of some weakly mixed states.

Partial separability revisited: Necessary and sufficient criteria

Szilárd Szalay, Zoltán Kökényesi

We extend the classification of mixed states of quantum systems composed of arbitrary numbers of subsystems of arbitrary dimensions. This extended classification is complete in the sense of partial separability and gives $1+18+1$ partial separability classes in the tripartite case contrary to a former $1+8+1$. Then we give necessary and sufficient criteria for these classes, which make it possible to determine to which class a mixed state belongs. These criteria are given by convex roof extensions of functions defined on pure states. In the special case of three-qubit systems, we define a different set of such functions with the help of the Freudenthal triple system approach of three-qubit entanglement.
