Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Implemenations of Remote State Preparation of Arbitary Longitudinal Qubit and Remote State Measurement of a Qubit

Abstract

A qubit chosen from equatorial or polar great circles on a Bloch sphere can be remotely prepared with an Einstain-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) state shared and a cbit communication. We generalize this protocal into an arbitrary longitudinal qubit on the Bloch sphere in which the azimuthal angle phi can be an arbitrary value instead of only being zero. The generalized scheme was experimentally realized using liquid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques. Also, we have experimentally demonstrated remote state measurement (RSM) on an arbitary qubit proposed by Pati.

Experimental Implementation of Remote State Preparation by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

Xinhua Peng, Xiwen Zhu, Ximing Fang +3 more

We have experimentally implemented remote state preparation (RSP) of a qubit from a hydrogen to a carbon nucleus in molecules of carbon-13 labeled chloroform $^{13}$CHCl$_{3}$ over interatomic distances using liquid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technique. Full RSP of a special ensemble of qubits, i.e., a qubit chosen from equatorial and polar great circles on a Bloch sphere with Pati's scheme, was achieved with one cbit communication. Such a RSP scheme can be generalized to prepare a large number of qubit states and may be used in other quantum information processing and quantum computing.

Minimum classical bit for remote preparation and measurement of a qubit

Arun Kumar Pati

We show that a qubit chosen from equatorial or polar great circles on a Bloch sphere can be remotely prepared with one cbit from Alice to Bob if they share one ebit of entanglement. Also we show that any single-particle measurement on an arbitrary qubit can be remotely simulated with one ebit of shared entanglement and communication of one cbit.

Deterministic joint remote preparation of an arbitrary three-qubit state via EPR pairs

Qing-Qin Chen, Yan Xia, Jie Song

A proposal, using six Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen pairs as the shared quantum resource, focuses on realizing the deterministic joint remote preparation of an arbitrary three-qubit state. With the right measurement bases and a series of proper Pauli operators, the state that we intend to joint remotely prepare is deemed to be obtained deterministically.

One-party controlled minimum remote state preparation of equatorial n-qubit states

Yahong Wang, Hongwei Liang

This paper offers a theoretical protocol for one-party controlled remote state preparation (RSP) of n-qubit states with minimum resources consumption. We are mainly focused on the case of the n-qubit state chosen from equatorial circle on a Bloch sphere. We use n - 1 EPR pairs and one GHZ state as quantum channel and show that only n + 1 cbits, n ebits and 2n + 1 qubits are consumed during the controlled RSP processing.

Remote state preparation with quantum remote control

Peng Jia-yin, Ming-Qiang Bai, Zhi–Wen Mo

We put forward two novel and perfect protocols for preparing an arbitrary single–particle state and simultaneously implementing a rotation operator or an arbitrary unitary operator on that particle. There are schemes for either only teleporting particles or only remotely controlling quantun particles. If one has to remotely control a prepared quantum, then he/ she has to first do remote state preparation and then executes the remote control on the prepared quantum. Both operations ware done separately on two sets of entanglements. However, this intuitive solution is inefficient because many resources are wasted. Thus, we attempt to complete both operations by sharing one three–particle Greenberger–Horne– Zeilinger (GHZ) state. Comparing our two protocols with the corresponding intuitive solutions, respectively, the results show that our protocols are more efficient than the corresponding intuitive solutions. Only Pauli operators, controlled–NOT gate, Bell–state measurement, single–qubit measurement, Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen (EPR) state and GHZ state are used in our schemes, so these schemes are easily realized in physical experiment.

Efficient scheme for remote preparation of arbitrary n-qubit equatorial states

Xin-Wei Zha, Minrui Wang, Ruo-Xu Jiang

Recently, a scheme for deterministic remote preparation of arbitrary multi-qubit equatorial states was proposed by Wei et al. [Quantum Inf. Process. 17 70 (2018)]. It is worth mentioning that the construction of mutual orthogonal measurement basis plays a key role in quantum remote state preparation. In this paper, a simple and feasible remote preparation of arbitrary n-qubit equatorial states scheme is proposed. In our scheme, the success probability will reach unit. Moreover, there are no coefficient constraint and auxiliary qubits in this scheme. It means that the success probabilities are independent of the coefficients of the entangled channel. The advantage of our scheme is that the mutual orthogonal measurement basis is devised. To accomplish the quantum remote state preparation (RSP) schemes, some new sets of mutually orthogonal measurement basis are introduced.
