Violation of the Bell inequality for thermal states of interaction qubits investigated via a multi-qubit Heisenberg model

Abstract

We study the violations of the Bell inequality for thermal states of qubits in a multi-qubit Heisenberg model as a function of temperature and external magnetic field. Unlike the behaviours of the entanglement, the violation cannot be obtained by increasing the temperature or the magnetic field. The threshold temperatures of the violation are found be less than that of the entanglement. We also consider a realistic cavity-QED model which is a special case of the multi-qubit Heisenberg model.

We investigate the violation of the Bell inequality for thermal states of qubits in the two-qubit and three-qubit Heisenberg models with Dzyaloshinski-Moriya(DM) interaction. The results indicate that the Bell inequality can be violated in the case of two-qubit Heisenberg model but not violated in the case of three-qubit Heisenberg model at any DM interaction and temperature.

Thermal entanglement of a three-qubit system in inhomogeneous magnetic fields

Z-N Hu, Kyung-Soo Yi, K.-S. Park

The quantum entanglement of the ground state and the thermal entanglement of the mixed thermal state of a three-qubit system with the Heisenberg interaction are investigated in detail in the presence of an inhomogeneous magnetic field. The concurrence of the model is compared with the magnetization, and the threshold temperature of the entanglement is discussed. The effects of the magnetic field and the coupling coefficient in the thermal entanglement are also examined by considering the concurrence of the three-qubit and two-qubit systems. We found that the thermal entanglement of the system exists at temperatures below the threshold temperature even if the ground state is unentangled.

Quantum nonlocality of Heisenberg XX model with site-dependent coupling strength

We show that the generalized Bell inequality is violated in the extended Heisenberg model when the temperature is below a threshold value. The threshold temperature values are obtained by constructing exact solutions of the model using the temperature-dependent correlation functions. The effect due to the presence of external magnetic field is also illustrated.

Thermal entanglement in the two-qubit Heisenberg XY model under a nonuniform external magnetic field

Yang Sun, Yuguang Chen, Hong Chen

We investigate the thermal entanglement in the two-qubit Heisenberg XY model with a nonuniform magnetic field. Concurrence, the measurement of entanglement, is calculated. The behavior of concurrence is present at three different cases. Contrary to the uniform magnetic field case, we find that the entanglement and the critical temperature ${T}_{C}$ may be enhanced under a nonuniform magnetic field.

Quantum entanglement and Bell inequalities in Heisenberg spin chains

Wang, X, Paolo Zanardi A

We show that in one-dimensional isotropic Heisenberg model two-qubit thermal entanglement and maximal violation of Bell inequalities are directly related with a thermodynamical state function, i.e., the internal energy. Therefore they are completely determined by the partition function, the central object of thermodynamics. For ferromagnetic ring we prove that there is no thermal entanglement at any temperature. Explicit relations between the concurrence and the measure of maximal Bell inequality violation are given.

Thermal Entanglement of Heisenberg XXZ Model

Negativity is an universal entanglement measure. The entanglement of two-party quantum system can be easily calculated with negativity. The thermal entanglement in the two qubit anisotropic Heisenberg XXZ model is studies by means of Negativity. The influence of temperature T and an external magnetic field B on the entanglement is investigated in thermal equilibrium. When the temperature is less than an critical temperature TC,the thermal entanglement is depended on the magnetic field strength, otherwise the entanglement disappears.
