Abstract

An entangled two-mode coherent state is studied within the framework of 2\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}2-dimensional Hilbert space. An entanglement concentration scheme based on joint Bell-state measurements is worked out. When the entangled coherent state is embedded in vacuum environment, its entanglement is degraded but not totally lost. It is found that the larger the initial coherent amplitude, the faster entanglement decreases. We investigate a scheme to teleport a coherent superposition state while considering a mixed quantum channel. We find that the decohered entangled coherent state may be useless for quantum teleportation as it gives the optimal fidelity of teleportation less than the classical limit 2/3.

Mixed Entangled Coherent Channel for Quantum Information Processing

Hyunseok Jeong, M. S. Kim, Jin-Hyoung Lee

We study an entangled two-mode coherent state within the framework of $2\\times 2$ dimensional Hilbert space and suggest a scheme to teleport a coherent superposition state. When the entangled coherent state decays into the vacuum, it is found that its evolved state always remains entangled and the larger the coherent amplitude, the faster entanglement decreases. We find that the decohered entangled coherent state can be useless in quantum teleportation as it gives the optimal fidelity of teleportation less than the classical limit 2/3.

Teleportation via an Entangled Coherent Channel and Decoherence Effect on This Channel

Ardalan Fatahizadeh, Ardeshir Rabeie

We study an entangled two-mode coherent state within the framework of2×2-dimensional Hilbert space. We investigate the problem of quantum teleportation ofa superposition coherent state via an entangled coherent channel. By three differentmeasures with the titles ``minimum assured fidelity (MASF)”, ``average teleportationfidelity” and ``optimal fidelity (f)” we study the quality of this kind of teleportation.Decoherence properties of the entangled coherent state due to channel losses areanalysed. For a symmetric noise channel, the degradation of optimal fidelity and degreeof entanglement are calculated. Also by two different measures with the titles``concurrence” and ``entanglement of formation” we study the amount of entanglementof a decohered quantum channel and discuss its details. We demonstrate thatentanglement of the decohered entangled coherent state is reduced but not throughlylost. Finally we find that the optimal fidelity of the decohered entangled coherent state ismore than the classical limit and the decohered entangled coherent state may be usefulfor quantum teleportation.

Teleportation of a coherent superposition state via a nonmaximally entangled coherent channel

Yi-Zhuang Zheng, Yongjian Gu, Guang‐Can Guo

We investigate the problem of teleportation of a superposition coherent state via a nonmaximally entangled coherent channel. Two strategies are considered to complete the task. The first one uses entanglement concentration to purify the channel to a maximally entangled one. The second one teleports the state through the nonmaximally entangled coherent channel directly. We find that the probabilities of successful teleportation for the two strategies depend on the amplitudes of the coherent states, and the mean fidelity of teleportation using the first strategy is always less than that using the second strategy.

Quantum teleportation with partially entangled joint measurements induced by coherent errors

Jeonghyeon Shin, Jaehak Lee, Soojoon Lee +1 more

Quantum teleportation is a fundamental protocol in quantum information science, whose performance is conventionally evaluated under the assumption of ideal Bell-state measurements. In realistic implementations, however, joint measurements are often imperfect and can deviate from maximally entangled bases due to coherent errors in entangling operations. In this work, we analytically show how the entanglement of joint measurements determines teleportation performance, and we propose a strategy to overcome the limitations imposed by partially entangled joint measurements to recover the unit teleportation fidelity with a nonzero success probability. This is achieved by optimizing a reversing operation on the teleported state to compensate for the known coherent deformation of the Bell-state measurement. We then derive an exact equation revealing a quantitative relation between measurement entanglement, channel entanglement, and the success probability to realize the unit-fidelity two-qubit teleportation. We illustrate our results using elegant joint measurements and realistic coherent error models arising from imperfect entangling operations in quantum systems. Our work provides fundamental insight into the role of measurement entanglement in quantum teleportation and offers a practical framework for achieving faithful teleportation without requiring substantial modifications to existing hardware.

Teleporting a Superposition State of Squeezed Vacuum States via Caving Quantum Electrodynamics

Cai Xinhua

A scheme on the quantum teleportation of an arbitrary coherent superposition state of two equal-amplitude and opposite-phase suqeezed vacuum states is proposed. It is realized via a dispersive atom-cavity field interaction and Bell-states measurement.Maximally entangled squeezed vacuum state is used as quantum channel for realizing the teleportation scheme. It is shown that the successful probability of this teleportation scheme is 0.5.
