QUANTUM ENTANGLEMENT OF PHOTONS IN DOUBLED q-FOCK SPACE

Abstract

A doubled q-Fock space is constructed by introducing an idle mode system dual to the physical one under consideration. The quantum entanglements of photons in the squeezed states and thermal states based on the doubled q-Fock space are discussed.

SQUEEZING ENHANCED THREE-MODE ENTANGLED STATE

Liyun Hu, Hong-Yi Fan

By virtue of the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators (Fan et al., Ann. Phys.321 (2006) 480) we construct a kind of three-mode entangled squeezed state in the Fock space, which exhibits stronger squeezing in one quadrature than that of the usual two-mode squeezed vacuum state.

Entanglement of quantum states between macroscopic and microscopic systems

Juhui Lee, Sergey A. Podoshvedov, Jaewan Kim +1 more

We introduce a new entangled state composed of Fock states, a coherent state and a single-photon-added state. The nonclassical properties are demonstrated by phase squeezing, photon-number squeezing (sub-Poisson statistics), the violation of Cauchy-Schwarz inequality, and the negativity of Wigner function of the proposed entangled state.

Quantum entanglement is among the most fascinating aspects of quantum theory. Here we realize quantum entanglement between the polarization of a single optical photon and a solid-state spin qubit associated with the nitrogen vacancy centre in diamond.

Four-mode squeezed states: two-field quantum systems and the symplectic group $$\mathrm {Sp}(4,{\mathbb {R}})$$

Thomas Colas, Julien Grain, Vincent Vennin

Abstract We construct the four-mode squeezed states and study their physical properties. These states describe two linearly-coupled quantum scalar fields, which makes them physically relevant in various contexts such as cosmology. They are shown to generalise the usual two-mode squeezed states of single-field systems, with additional transfers of quanta between the fields. To build them in the Fock space, we use the symplectic structure of the phase space. For this reason, we first present a pedagogical analysis of the symplectic group $$\mathrm {Sp}(4,{\mathbb {R}})$$ Sp ( 4 , R ) and its Lie algebra, from which we construct the four-mode squeezed states and discuss their structure. We also study the reduced single-field system obtained by tracing out one of the two fields. This procedure being easier in the phase space, it motivates the use of the Wigner function which we introduce as an alternative description of the state. It allows us to discuss environmental effects in the case of linear interactions. In particular, we find that there is always a range of interaction coupling for which decoherence occurs without substantially affecting the power spectra (hence the observables) of the system.
