Abstract

Certain non-linear relations between the generators of the (q-deformed) Heisenberg algebra are found. Some of these relations are invariant under quantization and $q$-deformation.

Displacement deformed quantum fields

Morgan, Peter

A displacement operator d_ζis introduced, verifying commutation relations [d_ζ, a_f^\dagger]=[d_ζ, a_f]=ζ(f)d_ζwith field creation and annihilation operators that verify [a_f,a_g]=0, [a_f,a_g^\dagger]=(g,f), as usual. f and g are test functions, ζis a Poincare invariant real-valued function on the test function space, and (g,f) is a Poincare invariant Hermitian inner product. The *-algebra generated by all these operators, and a state defined on it, nontrivially extends the *-algebra of creation and annihilation operators and its Fock space representation. If the usual requirement for linearity is weakened, as suggested in quant-ph/0512190, we obtain a deformation of the free quantum field.

A new kind of two-parameter deformation of Heisenberg and parabose algebras and related deformed derivative

Sicong Jing, Sergei D. Silvestrov

We propose a new kind of two-parameter (p, q)-deformed Heisenberg and parabose algebra, which reduces to the Heisenberg algebra for the p = 1 case and to parabose algebra for q = -1 case. Corresponding to the two-parameter deformed oscillator, we also introduce a new kind of (p, q)-deformed derivative which relates to the ordinary derivative and q-deformed derivative in an explicit manner. We study the structure of Fock-like space of the new (p, q)-deformed oscillators and derive a formal solution for the eigenvalue equation of the Hamiltonian.

Uncertainty relations for a non-canonical phase-space noncommutative álgebra

C. Dias, Nuno, N. Prata, João

We consider a non-canonical phase-space deformation of the Heisenberg– Weyl algebra that was recently introduced in the context of quantum cosmology. We prove the existence of minimal uncertainties for all pairs of non-commuting variables. We also show that the states which minimize each uncertainty inequality are ground states of certain positive operators. The algebra is shown to be stable and to violate the usual Heisenberg–Pauli–Weyl inequality for position and momentum. The techniques used are potentially interesting in the context of time-frequency analysis
