IntegrableN-particle Hamiltonians with Yangian or reflection algebra symmetry

Abstract

We use the Dunkl operator approach to construct one-dimensional integrable models describing N particles with internal degrees of freedom. These models are described by a general Hamiltonian belonging to the centre of the Yangian or the reflection algebra, which ensures that they admit the corresponding symmetry. In particular, the open problem of the symmetry is answered for the B N -type Sutherland model with spin and for a generalized B N -type nonlinear Schrödinger Hamiltonian.

The current algebra representations of quantum many-particle Schrödinger type Hamiltonian models, their factorized structure and integrability

Prorok, Prykarpatski

There is developed a current algebra representation scheme for reconstructing algebraically factorized quantum Hamiltonian and symmetry operators in the Fock type space and its application to quantum Hamiltonian and symmetry operators in case of quantum integrable spatially many- and one-dimensional dynamical systems. As examples, we have studied in detail the factorized structure of Hamiltonian operators, describing such quantum integrable spatially many- and one-dimensional models as generalized oscillatory, Calogero-Sutherland, Coulomb type and nonlinear Schrödinger dynamical systems of spinless bose-particles.

Connection between Yangian symmetry and the quantum inverse scattering method

Shuichi Murakami, Miki Wadati

The quantum nonlinear Schrödinger model with two-component fermions exhibits a Yangian symmetry when considered on an infinite interval. We construct the generators of the Yangian using Dunkl operators. We show an equivalence between the monodromy matrix constructed from the Dunkl operators and that of the quantum inverse scattering method. Under the Yangian algebra the space of states with a fixed particle number forms a tensor product representation of fundamental representations.

Topics in quantum integrable systems

Kazuhiro Hikami, Miki Wadati

Recent developments in the theory of quantum integrable particle systems in one-dimension with inverse square interactions are reviewed. First the Yangian symmetry is introduced and the energy spectra of the related spin models are discussed. The character of the su(n)1 WZNW theory is shown to be closely related with the Rogers–Szegö polynomial. Second, the infinite dimensional representation for solutions of the Yang–Baxter equation and the reflection equation is given. Based on the representation, the Dunkl operators associated with the classical root systems are constructed. The Macdonald polynomial and its generalization are discussed in connection with the eigenstates for the trigonometric case. Finally, some results on short-range interacting systems are mentioned.

Quantum Current Algebra Symmetries and Integrable Many-Particle Schrödinger Type Quantum Hamiltonian Operators

Dominik Prorok, Anatolij K. Prykarpatski

Based on the G. Goldin’s quantum current algebra symmetry representation theory, have succeeded in explaining a hidden relationship between the quantum many-particle Hamiltonian operators, defined in the Fock space, their factorized structure and integrability. Interesting for applications quantum oscillatory Hamiltonian operators are considered, the quantum symmetries of the integrable quantum Calogero-Sutherland model are analyzed in detail.

On reflection algebras and twisted Yangians

Anastasia Doikou

It is well known that integrable models associated to rational R matrices give rise to certain non-Abelian symmetries known as Yangians. Analogously boundary symmetries arise when general but still integrable boundary conditions are implemented, as originally argued by Delius, Mackay, and Short from the field theory point of view, in the context of the principal chiral model on the half-line. In the present study we deal with a discrete quantum mechanical system with boundaries, that is the N site gl(n) open quantum spin chain. In particular, the open spin chain with two distinct types of boundary condition known as soliton preserving and soliton nonpreserving is considered. For both types of boundaries we present a unified framework for deriving the corresponding boundary nonlocal charges directly at the quantum level. The nonlocal charges are simply coproduct realizations of particular boundary quantum algebras called boundary or twisted Yangians, depending on the choice of boundary conditions. Finally, with the help of linear intertwining relations between the solutions of the reflection equation and the generators of the boundary or twisted Yangians we are able to exhibit the exact symmetry of the open spin chain, namely we show that a number of the boundary nonlocal charges are in fact conserved quantities.

Integrability Aspects of the Current Algebra Representation and the Factorized Quantum Nonlinear Schrödinger Type Dynamical Systems

Nikolay N. Bogolubov, Dominik Prorok, Anatolij K. Prykarpatski

Abstract In this work we study integrability aspects of the current algebra representation and the factorized quantum nonlinear Schrödinger type dynamical systems, initiated before by G. Goldin with collaborators, in suitably renormalized Fock type Hilbert spaces. There is developed the current algebra representation scheme of reconstructing algebraically factorized quantum Hamiltonian and symmetry operators in the Fock type space. There is presented its application to constructing quantum factorized Hamiltonian systems and their symmetry operators in case of quantum integrable spatially many- and one-dimensional dynamical systems. As examples we have studied in detail the factorized structure of Hamiltonian operators, describing such quantum integrable spatially one-dimensional models as the Calogero–Moser–Sutherland and Nonlinear Schrödinger dynamical systems of spin-less Bose-particles.
